Services
Central City Veterinary Clinic was established in 1954. Richard Johnson joined the practice, first as an associate and later as a practice owner. Dr. Larry Dearking joined Dr. Johnson at Central City Vet Clinic as a business partner in 1973. At the time of Dr. Dearking's retirement in 2006, the 33 years he spent with Dr. Johnson was believed to be the longest continuous veterinary partnership in the state of Nebraska.
Our appointment book is a part of our patient software system, which allows us to efficiently manage our schedule and your animal or herd's health records. Our team will attempt to accommodate all appointment requests to the best of our ability. While appointments are always preferred, we understand life does not always conform to a schedule, so we do accommodate walk-in and drop-off appointments.
Central City Veterinary Clinic is a full-service small animal hospital. We offer everything from routine care and vaccinations to surgery and more intensive medical cases. Our team is here to ensure your pet has all the tools to live a happy, active life. We understand that it is not always possible to bring your pet to our clinic.
We are proud to provide boarding services for both dogs and cats. We know that when you leave, it can be stressful on you and your pets, but we want you to feel comfortable knowing that we will do everything we can to make them feel at home during their stay. That is why we practice the highest standards of care and cleanliness for all pets staying with us.
All canine boarding kennels are a personal, solid-sided run with daytime indoor and outdoor access though a guillotine style door (weather permitting). The floors throughout the boarding facility are heated, and in warmer weather, the kennel temperature is regulated with a swamp cooler to help ensure a comfortable stay for all pets.

We have had two dogs with longtime illnesses and they are so very helpful and knowledgeable about the diseases. They helped us to know when we should start making end of life plans, and we're very supportive when it came to that day. And they even let us know it wasn't quite time more than once. Would highly recommend all their services.

I have been with CC Vet Clinic for over 20 years. I have seen many doctors in that 20 years. The current doctors are very knowledgeable and they teach you how to do things to take care of your pets so you dont have to keep going back. The new clinic is awesome and they can provide more services that they could not before. Thank you for all you do.
