Avalis has been designing, manufacturing and installing wayfinding solutions since 1989. We have manufactured the interior sign systems for many buildings large and small: hospitals, universities, boutique hotels, residential complexes, federal, state and local government facilities, military installations and K-12 Schools.
Avalis is first and foremost a custom sign manufacturer. Since 1989 we've accumulated a great deal of experience supporting architects, design firms, end-user customers, and commercial construction companies nation-wide. At Avalis we believe that if you can give us a design, we can find a way to make that design a reality.
Avalis manufactures designs from others but also provides design service for wayfinding signage design. We have designers on staff for sign system design if customers who do not have a design package from which to work. If Avalis is doing the sign system design, we begin by studying existing and/or planned architectural design elements, interior finishes, wayfinding media and seek to understand a client's aspirations for their property/facility.
Avalis works closely with clients to develop new wayfinding signage systems by discovering needs, finalizing the scope of work, and planning projects for completion by need dates. Project management involves identifying parallel and serial aspects of a project, multiple processes are planned and coordinated to accomplish need dates on time, and in the case of new construction, avoid C.O. punch lists.
Few industries since the mid 1990's have seen such dramatic paradigm shifts in strategic direction, products offered and facility design as hospitals and medical centers. Gone are the days of the sterile interior dcor, "bed-days" accounting and captive territories to be replaced with hospitality dcor, outpatient services and hospital systems targeting each others' "territories" with competing facilities.
