Counseling available for Individuals, couples, teens and children. Coping strategies may be learned and practiced to reduce stress, increase joy and life satisfaction. Next Chapter helps individuals stabilize and move past those life issues that can serve to paralyze and increase stress. Next Chapter schedules group sessions on a quarterly basis for Substance Abuse, Anger Management and Grief and bereavement.
Groups meet weekly for 8 weeks. We provide individual counseling and education for the issues leading to Substance abuse and for the addictive behaviors learned during the course of addiction. For those with PTSD, we use CBT and other preferred methods to aid in reducing hyper-vigilance, avoidance and reliving the event.

Services
We assess the couple and apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to promote healthy change and healing in the relationship. We help individuals identify why they are angry and how to control their responses in anger moments. Often reducing overall anger feelings in addition to learning control skills. Next Chapter assess each individual and offers opportunity for treatment that fits their personal needs.
One of the first changes addressed in a relationship is communication. At Next Chapter we work on communication by identifying current skills and supporting those with new or different skills. This enhances the couple's ability to talk and to connect. Which enhances understanding and produces greater intimacy in all of intimacy's forms.
Next Chapter provides anger management courses for personal growth and to satisfy court ordered mandates. This course is used to identify what anger is, where it comes from and methods to change behaviors. Anger management consists of 12 hours of class and home work to satisfactorily complete the course.
Next Chapter completes drug and alcohol assessments to determine the need for treatment and to satisfy court referrals. Standardized tools of assessment are used to determine levels of substance tolerance and indications of life disturbance. These assessments are in turn used to choose the proper level of treatment for each individual.
Orville and other staff utilize local resources to obtain treatment when medications are necessary. Referrals are made to a Psychiatrist to be seen for medications and for medication adjustments. Work sheets are used to reinforce each sessions treatment and sent home for the client to refer to daily.
