Well-trained staff provide safe, affordable, high-quality care so you can have peace of mind while you work.
When you cannot be with your young child throughout the day, you want the next best thing. The YMCA Early Childhood Education & Learning Centers partner with parents to grow happy children, ages 18 months to five years. Our toddler care program ranges from 18 to 36 months of age. While we cannot replace a parent, our trusted staff takes pride in your child's discoveries.
Now's the time to give your child the jumpstart he or she needs to prepare for kindergarten. At the YMCA of Ross County, we believe that every child has the potential to be successful, and we've set into place an educational environment that is friendly, positive and caring to help each student discover his and her own unique gifts.
When you need convenient and affordable before and after-school care, this program is for you. The YMCA's Before and After School Care Program serves children from kindergarten to age 12 within a number of public, and parochial schools in Chillicothe and the Ross County area. Our program nurtures the spirit, mind, and body, giving children the ability to develop and reach their full potential.

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm welcome. Once you start coming, they all make a point to know you and call you by name. The staff is always so helpful with any need or questions you have. The YMCA has replaced the old workout machines and purchased the latest equipment all in the last year. The staff offers so many different classes at times that fit my schedule. The fitness trainers and their staff are great in helping you on new machines, designing a workout based on your level of exercise and helping you reach your fitness goals. There may be larger and glitzier facilities

We love the YMCA, and we get so much out of our family membership! We've attended for group fitness classes, exercising, child watch (while we exercise), preschool/summer camp/day care, swimming lessons, athletics, and so much more. The YMCA of Ross County is more than a gym - it is an all-in-one, family-friendly go-to for us and others in our community!

I LOVE my Y! I joined the Y when I first moved to town. It provided a great place to meet people and get my children involved. I’ve been a member for 6 years now, and my Y family is an integral part of my life. The adult classes are great, the facility is clean and well-maintained and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Ross County is blessed to have this amazing facility.

I love going to the YMCA just to work out on my own on the recumbent bike or to attend a class like “Chair Yoga”. It is helping me lose weight for an upcoming surgery and it is strengthening my knees and making it so it is easier for me to walk. Also it is an excuse to get out of the house for awhile and get active and be around friendly people. The YMCA is taking seriously the COVID precautions so you will be safe and be able to enjoy your time there.

Very very family friendly place and fantastic staff! I’ve never walked into the Ross County YMCA and never been greeted and smiled at. They always smile and treat their visitors like family. The lifeguards are amazing and are very encouraging and welcoming. Overall, the Ross County Y is like my second home!

The YMCA has been an incredible start in my health journey. Lydia is wonderful she has taught me there is always a place to start and if you mess up just start again. I plan on returning as soon as I can. I had a knee replacement 3 weeks ago and when I'm done with therapy I'll be returning to the Y.

The Ross Co. YMCA team, led by C.E.O. Steve Clever, change lives every day. This building offers a home for at risk youth, family childcare, after school mentoring, school aged athletics, adult fitness classes and senior wellness programs. Our kids absolutely love going here. From the staff to the facilities there are a number of things that you can do to keep you busy. The fitness room has been updated and if you can be at one of the open swims that are available, you can enjoy the nice pool they have. All of the staff are friendly and can answer any questions that you may have. I highly recommend this place.
