Teachers are entrusted by God with the privilege of caring for children. They are facilitators of the learning process who are sensitive to developmental and individual needs. The teacher is to be respectful and flexible in dealing with children. The appropriate curriculum will address the social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual needs of the children.
When you do come to visit, please consider bringing your child with you. We would love to meet him/her too! We encourage you to let him/her explore and join in as much as possible. It's a great opportunity for all of us to get more acquainted, and for your child to get a sense of what our school is like!
We frequently hear, "There's just something special about St. John School" not only from parents, but also from professionals in our communtiy. Several specialists from Willamette Education Service District as well as The Department of Human Services have commented that we have something that other programs simply do not.
Why I Teach at St. John: Teaching is definitely my passion! I absolutely love getting to know the kids and figuring out how they learn best. I have been here for a very long time, so obviously I like it very much! I believe that God has placed me here for a purpose. There have been challenges along the way, but He is always faithful and provides exactly what we need.
Our childcare program is a true extension of our morning classes. Because our morning teachers and assistants continue into the afternoon, there is a cohesive, natural flow from class to childcare. Consistancy throughout the day, and everyday is so important for young children. We strive to maintain predictable daily routines with the same caregivers.

My oldest child went to St. John’s and now my youngest is in the 3’s classroom. It is very hard to find affordable quality daycare and I am so thankful for St. John School for Early Learners. They have been very dependable and reliable throughout this pandemic. My son is happy when I pick him up and hates when I pick him up early because he misses out on fun activities. Everyday they have rotating stations ranging from kinetic sand, water play, painting, flubber, etc. I love that they really try to get the kids outside every day but that if it’s raining they have a gym that the kids can run
