Mike brings a myriad of modalities to his massage style to meet the needs of his patients. He studied at the Boulder School of Massage Therapy, graduating in 1986. He has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education to improve and enhance his skills for relieving pain from the body.
These studies have included Cranio-sacral therapy, Precision Neuromuscular Therapy, St. John Neuromuscular therapy, Somatics, Bio-kinetics, and Functional Manipulative Techniques.Mike's philosophy is to first determine which muscles correspond to the symptoms you are having. Second, he will treat these muscles very specifically and comprehensively.

Precision Neuromuscular Therapy is a technique developed by Douglas Nelson in Champaigne, Ill. It utilizes multiple methods of evaluating causes of your pain, including presentation of pain patterns, analyzing postural distortions, and checking for trigger point referrals. A treatment plan is generated from this information, and the muscles are treated accordingly for the most effective and efficient treatments.
Swedish massage is the most common therapy to the field. It comprises compression to both superficial and deep muscles, along with long kneading strokes to get your body to a very relaxed place. This is a great massage style to wind down the body when it has been worked too hard, played too hard or maybe stressed for too long.
Our bodies suffer pain for a myriad of reasons. There may be systemic syndromes like Rheumatoid arthritis or Fibromyalgia. There may have been a trauma to a part of the body from an accident. Or, there may be pain from long term overworking of the muscles. High stress levels may have created high levels of tension in the musculature of parts of the body.

I saw Maggie two days after throwing out my back and suffering from some of the worst back pain in my life. After a wonderful and very medicinal-focused massage, I'm feeling so much better! One day after the massage brought great relief. Two days after the massage I was back almost to 100%! Maggie is the best and in addition to her massage, she's created a very calming and therapeutic atmosphere. I'll absolutely be going back for another!

Walking in, the ambiance contains all of the soothing elements of earth. The waiting room is comfortable, inviting, and balanced where stress is immediately lifted. That's just the beginning of something wonderful awaiting you. An appointment with Mike will leave you balanced and relaxed as he focuses on the parts of you that are imbalanced and hurting. This is not just any old massage where they lightly attend to your entire body. This is a massage that will transform your aches and pains and give you your life back. A must for anyone with any type of lifestyle.

In my over 30 years of receiving therapeutic and rehabilitation massage, Mike Stubblefield is the finest therapist I have encountered. His knowledge, experience and uncanny intuition of the patient's body distinguish his diagnosis and treatment. But as important, Mike is a wonderful and caring human being, and I leave each session feeling healed in mind, body and soul.
