Grant has been cutting hair for over 14 years. He started off as a Hairdresser in a top salon in Springfield, MO. 3 years later he found himself looking for some more excitement. Grant decided to enlist in the Army and spent 8 years serving his country. After getting out summer of 2014, he completed extended male barbering training and obtained his barber license.
Grant, his wife and two sons and a daughter moved back to their hometown of Prescott, Arizona in fall of 2014 with the vision of opening the best barbershop in town. With our offering of modern or traditional men's haircuts and wet shave's using precision cut throat blades - all managed within a rugged space of conceptional beauty - we truly pride ourselves on giving our clients an experience.

Our son has had services there each time he comes to town and our son-in-law had services there a week ago when they came to town. They have really enjoyed the service and our other son is coming this weekend and hair cut is scheduled. It’s a really cool place, unique, clean and the barbers/stylists are talented and professional. We would highly recommend John Hancock!

This Barbershop has become my favorite.
💫 Even as they had rap playing in the background, the place was clean and the setting was modern. There was murmur between barber and customer, but all in all it's a peaceful experience.
💫The barber (I think her name was Sierra) was excellent and cordial in conversation. Everyone there is friendly, honest, and have good senses of humor.
💫The time it took to get seated was little to none. They have you scheduled ahead of time and as soon as your hour hits, they are ready for you. The haircut took little time, too. I almost fell asleep in my chair

Got a haircut and deluxe beard trim today. The deluxe beard trim was worth every penny — two passes with straight blade, multiple hot towels, and good quality overall beard trim. Haircut was good too. Will be going again and will be a regular customer going forward. For sure, the best barber shop I’ve been to in Prescott and probably anywhere.

This is my husband's go to place for his hair cut and he loves it. Everyone is really great! Make an appointment, it's your best option. The greatest part is there is a coffee shop and tavern in the building, so you can enjoy a beer or coffee while you get your hair cut! The tavern is super cool! There are 65 self serve taps that have beer, wine, Mead and cocktails. And then on Saturday and Sundays they have bloody Marys and mimosas until 2pm

A few weeks ago I brought my 2 yo son in for a hair cut with Elizabeth. She was super sweet and understanding when he wouldn’t sit still. I’ve had experiences at other salons where they act annoyed or are rude about kids. Elizabeth handled it like a pro! We love Founding Fathers too. Highly recommend John Hancock.

The JHB has moved to their new location at the Founding Fathers Collective. Now when you go in for services, you can grab either a caffeinated beverage from Merchant Coffee or an alcoholic one from the City Tavern iPourIt taps. There is also a gym and a members-only speakeasy here too. Check out the outdoor deck area. And, they are planning to have food trucks onsite periodically. Looks like another new happening place has entered the Prescott scene!

This is a quality barbershop! So here we are, Jacque & Laura, two women in their early 60s, going into a barbershop for haircuts! Damian is an artist with scissors, and an electric razor. I have wavy hair, with multiple cowlicks, and he did a superior job! Grant (owner) came upstairs to chat with us, and made us feel VERY welcome. We HIGHLY recommend this business, you can't go wrong!
