Arnell Thornton-Harris is co-owner and Headstart teacher at KIDZ Creative Concepts. She began this wonderful business venture with her mother, Delores Farabee, in 2006. Mrs. Arnell has helped with the cognitive development of young children for over 8 years.
Mrs. Arnell (as her students affectionately call her) provides a supportive and nurturing environment that helps to develop a positive self-concept while providing enjoyable, yet challenging open-ended activities.She is inspired by the development of all children and their unique ways of learning and providing the freedom so that each child can play an active role in their education as well as the education of their peers.

What others refer to as discipline, we call guidance. No child will be hit, spanked, belittled, or otherwise intimidated at our center, even with the permission of the parent. There will be no corporal punishment used in any form. There will be no abusive or profane language, isolation, humiliation, or threatening and/or actual withdrawal of food used as a form of guidance.
We believe that the safety and well-being of each and every child should be the number one priority for any program. However, things happen. If a child becomes ill at the center, he/she will be isolated in a designated area and given a cot and blanket and will remain in plain sight of an assigned staff person.

Hi my daughter was at the 719 location and when I tell the staff was wonderful.They are all super professional my daughter was in MS Jackson preschool class when I tell that lady was a blessing to me ,and my daughter .I was worrying about my daughter meeting development milestones I was fearing she wouldn’t but with us working together she was ready for kindergarten and now she one of the top kids in her kindergarten class .Thank you KCC

I LOOOOOOOOVE THIS SCHOOL!! If I didn’t move to Texas my child would still be there. In only 4 months they taught her sooo much and were able to teach me how to teach her. She built bonds with both students and teachers in a way that she didn’t do at her previous school. My baby went from pointing and mumbling to saying whole phrases from jibber jabber while playing to actually using words. She can count now she recognizes the shapes and most letters she knows the days of the week I mean I can go on and on and on but you get it! The staff who handled my 2 year old son were amazing!!! However, if you have older children I would opt out of the transportation service. The owner has her 22 year old son driving the kids. They have left my child at school several times and I would go the daycare she was no where to be found. I unfortunately had to pull my kids out due that reason. I also did not like the fact the owner seemed more concerned about her 22 year old son than my 10 year old 's safety. If you can go without transportation.This would be a good place. It's a shame that the workers have more sense and are better with

We are beyond ecstatic that Mrs. Armell brought kids creative concepts to Woodlawn. Me and my spouse found ourselves in a hard spot when we had to transfer our little one out of her old school because we werent happy with the teacher. Kidz Creative Concepts is an AMAZING facility. My grandson has been enrolled there for approximately a year and a half. The staff is excellent and is constantly sharing creative and wonderful lessons with him. He's very excited about the music program. The wonderful songs are shared at home daily. He is a very finicky eater, but with the variety of nutritious meals that are provided at Kidz Creative Concepts, my grandson's palate is now more accepting to different foods. The staff at Kidz Creative Concepts has worked with my son for 4 years... from ~ 3 months until he was 4.5yo. Not only had he excelled as a result of the prompt attention to his learning abilities, but the staff also tailor made lessons to further his growth which allowed him to be accepted into a TOP-TIER GLOBAL KINDERGARTEN program at just 4 years old.

I absolutely love this daycare and the staff. The staff is very hands on with the children about the learning curriculum and every thing the staff teaches the parents like myself are aware of so that I can help my child at home. I am extremely excited that I found a daycare that actually cares about my daughter future as well as I do. My daughter loves the fact that she is learning Spanish and Music from different countries. I highly recommend Kidz Creative Concepts Daycare to any parent or parents who are looking for a daycare home for their children the staff is just great.

As a Child Care Specialist for over fifteen years I struggled with the idea of putting my child in daycare. I didn’t think my kids will get that one on one attention they needed to thrive and prosper but Kidz Creative Concepts proved me wrong. Arnell and her staff are phenomenal. My oldest daughter attended Kidz Creative Concepts for five years and got excepted to Skinner Classical in Chicago. My 2 years old is now learning Spanish and taking music classes every week. I definitely reccomend this school.
