Dr. Rahr is a native of Long Island. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Binghamton University of the State University of New York (SUNY) in 1998 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2002. After graduation, he completed a residency in General Dentistry at Long Island Jewish Hospital in Nassau County.

Dr. Rahr and his staff are so professional, friendly and so accommodating. I drive over 45 mins to this office because he is the only dentist that I trust. My kids were always so nervous going to the dentist and after this weekend’s visit they felt so comfortable. I honestly will never go anywhere else. Keep up the great work. We will see you soon.

My husband had all his upper teeth removed and an upper denture made in 6/2018 and they are awful, the teeth are too short and bucked out, in fact you can't see if he is wearing dentures or not. The few times he went back it didn't seem to do anything to help and he has been trying at best to get used to them. It was heartbreaking to see that my husband who is a friendly happy guy that generally smiles a lot ,did not smile in any of my son's wedding pictures. He also avoids getting his picture taken, and now rarely smiles. You ask why did he ever go with this dentist as he thought

I have anxiety with going to the dentist coupled with some horrible past experiences. Dr. Rahr and his staff are awesome. I felt really comfortable, everything was explained to me in detail without shaming me. The most easy-going root canals I've ever had lol. And the hygienist who does the cleanings is amazing. Honestly I'd keep going just for her, but luckily everyone is really great.

I am thrilled that we have a such a great dentist in Kings Park. Dr. Rahr is outstanding and his hygienist, Beth, is excellent. The office is clean & efficient and his ability to offer the latest procedures is a plus. I moved my entire family's dental care to his practice after just two appointments with Dr. Rahr. I have been going to Dr Rahr for two years now, always professional and very caring. Just had to have a decayed tooth removed over the weekend ( nothing that Dr. Rahr had every worked on). Of course I was nervous, he explained the whole procedure in detail at my exam, again on Saturday for the procedure and discussed the options one more time. I couldn't believe how easy the extraction went. Fast forward that evening and next day felt fine, no pain. For what was done, my stress level was so minimal. Can't say enough about their office and staff. Love my Dentist.... bet many people

Dr. Rahr is a very good dentist. He is experienced in new dental technicians and is able to provide many types of dental services to meet unique and diverse patient needs. He communicates well with the patients and is very approachable. The dental hygienist is very experienced. The staff are polite and accommodating. I would recommend this practice and have been pleased with the services.

Great dentist.
A few years ago i was eating Popcorn Kernels and a tooth In the back cracked.
I went to David and he did an xray on the tooth and then sent the xray to the dental lab.
David then put a porcelain onlay to match the area of the tooth that was chipped off.
The tooth looks so good now.
David did a great job saving my tooth.
