Questions about Child Counseling or Family Counseling in general - or our services in particular? We can probably answer them right here. Please feel free to Contact Us or call us at (573) 803 1402 if you have additional questions or need to schedule child counseling or family counseling services. How long does it take from the time I call to the time we can meet for the first appointment?
The benefits of child counseling often impact others in the family, including parents and siblings. For example, child counseling can reduce family stress by enhancing family communication, providing new perspectives on a child's behavior or ideas about how to handle difficult child behaviors. Taking your child to a Child Counselor can help you feel more supported as a parent as well.
Families learn better communication and relationship skills to strengthen child-parent bonds. The length of family counseling varies greatly, depending on the problem and you and your child's participation and involvement. It can range from as short as several weeks to several months or longer in some cases.

As a nurse who has worked with adults in mental health for several years, it is exciting to see a facility in our community that works directly with our youth. For the most part, this age group is widely neglected when it comes to psychological needs. My hope is that our community will utilize this resource to its fullest potential.
