Rustler's Restaurant
At Rustler's Restaurant we offer a wide variety of food choices near Bryce Canyon Utah such as; American, Mexican, BBQ, Pastas, Steaks and Shrimp and more, plus a great selection of Beer and Wine. We strive to offer our customers a wonderful dining experience with our great staff in our Rustic, Cowboy themed dining room that features antiques and photos from our local ranches and depicts a little of what this community is about.

Our family went here 3 times over our 4 day stay at Bryce. Excellent, friendly service, nice atmosphere, and the food was really good at a reasonable price. After a day of hiking and exploring the BLM lands south of Tropic, this place was the only one open on a Sunday night the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Friendly service. Basic food served nice and hot. Server was good about refilling drinks. The warm apple pie was such a treat

We stayed in Bryce during our hiking trip. This place seemed like a good option because of their diverse menu. I got the cowboy bbq dinner and it was just ok. The service was very slow and it took 20 minutes to seat us. I wish we would have stuck with our original dinner plans (Ruby’s Restaurant).

There are not that many food options around Bryce Canyon NP. After driving around a bit, we chose Rustler's. Food was OK, the best part being the fresh loaf of bread and softened butter, that my kids inhaled!
Service was really slow (we were there around 6 pm, and the restaurant was mostly empty).

This was the perfect spot for lunch on a Sunday in October. Our table ordered three hamburgers and the club + fries and a salad. All was devoured in moments. So quickly I didn't have time for a picture. Our server, Harrison, was kind, respectful and quick. Will return when in Tropic again.

Wen down in rural Utah for several days and this has been a highlight of our trip. Outstanding food, and a nice location. Highly recommend.

The service was extremely slow, but the food came out hot and fresh. It seemed like maybe they were short staffed the night we came in, so considering that they did a good job. We ordered the Cowboy Dinner and it was decent. The beans seemed like they came straight from a can, but everything else was good.

Only had breakfast here and in all fairness, it's my least favorite meal of the day so it really needs to shine to get many stars. That said, it's getting four stars not for the food, which is pretty average, but the staff was five stars. Samantha, in particular, was always so cheerful and attentive to coffee refills and when things got busy, she would circle back with that next cup of coffee and a smile. It's a small town restaurant serving up so-so breakfast (tried the waffle- was tough, eggs- were eggs, cooked to order, and the omelette- funky egg flavor on that one. Toast wasn

OK when you stay in Tropic UT as a gateway to Bryce, your food choices are fairly limited. We decided to try the Rustler because it was right next to our hotel. We’ll the service was only OK and the food really wasn’t very good except for the salad one in our party had. The fried steak was pretty dry and didn’t have much flavor. On a positive note the little loaf of fresh bread for the table was pretty good. The Utah wines on the menu were enjoyed and so was the beer.

While staying in Tropic (population 514), there are only a few places to eat. We had BBQ for lunch, so tried Rustler's for dinner. Very good food, excellent service, reasonable prices.

Our server, Arturo was attentive, friendly, and not hovering. I had ranch burger and fries and it was good, but a little greasy. I'm used to the world's best hamburger two blocks from my home in eugene, so nothing ever lives up to that. My wife had the wild mushroom pesto and she says it was yummy.

So all in all, a decent meal.

Arrived at 7:30am for breakfast with no wait. Service was great and breakfast was good. Typical home cooking. Would eat here again. I am a tourist, not a local. I would imagine eating here during prime dining hours could get very crowded quick.

Go somewhere else if possible. All the good reviews seem to be from locals. Got takeout here. The food is just bad.
My experience was also really awkward. I felt unwelcome when my order was taken. I tipped well (30%) thinking that would make the experience more pleasant, but it didn’t—my food was cold, so much so that I decided to go back in and ask them to microwave it. It came out lukewarm.
The bbq place or pizza place would’ve been better options.

Was pleasantly surprised for lunch on our visit and went back again the next day for breakfast. Was the best place we ate in our 3 days in the area. I would definitely recommend it. Price is reasonable
Do NOT go to the gas station restaurant was the worst breakfast ever. I actually threw bacon away. I have never done that.

What a pleasant surprise. Dinner started with warm bread promptly brought to table. Salmon was excellent. Wife had the filet mignon. She raved about it. Size was large and she ate every bite. Prices are reasonable. Service is very good.

We stopped here on the way to a hike for some breakfast. Two of us ordered the all American breakfast and the other ordered the ham and cheese omelet. Great portion sizes and the bacon was really good! Service was really good and food came out very quick. Definitely recommend!

We drove from Torrey to Bryce Canyon today and needed to eat breakfast before we got out to the park. We chose Rustler's. Our waitress Gabby was very nice. I ordered waffles and waited forever, and then found out the machine was broken. So they brought out some pancakes and bacon for me which also took a while, but didn't charge me for my meal.

The service at the restaurant was very welcoming and accommodating despite being a bit slow with nobody else there. The bathrooms are very clean and the food was very good!

While in visiting Bryce Canyon, we stopped here for breakfast. Talk about a mistake. The only thing worse than the food was the service! Our waitress was horrible. We were her only customer but she was MIA the whole time. We had to ask the other waiter for more coffee, syrup and the check. They do give you huge portions, but what does it matter if it's not palatable???

The food here is absolutely amazing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the service was a little slow. We ordered the Chicken Quesadilla (it was huge & stuffed!), the smothered burrito with pork (freakin' delicious!), the Flat Iron steak (tender, juicy & all the things) and the Ribeye (perfect!). Portions are ginormous so we took the rest for a fireside snack at our camp cabin. Will be back for sure!

Rustlers was truly a great surprise!
The large fresh loaf of bread with real butter was great.
But the surprise was I got exactly what I wanted.
A good sized salad to start that was more than just lettuce and tomato. It had onions shaved carrots and one or two more items.
The grilled chicken breast I ordered was cooked correctly not dried out
And I ordered the mixed vegetables.
I received a large portion of green beans wax beans and carrots, all cooked correctly. And seasoned well to boot.
Wife's order was country fried steak and it was was nice.
All in all service was swift and polite

Very nice. People were waiting an hour next door for BBQ so we went next door and were sat immediately. We got the BBQ chicken and pesto pasta and both were very good. Portions are huge! We ate there for breakfast the next morning as well. Again huge portions. The staff seemed a little spacey but friendly.

Good selection of foods choices especially since the surrounding Bryce Canyon area has limited choices. We arrived at 4pm and were quickly sat and served. I see this place getting busy soon and with limited employees can get overrun fast. Overall, the food OK and made us full.

All things considered our experience on 11/6 rated a 5 star.
1. During there times they followed Covid protocol although some customers did not
2. They got slammed but handled it very well while being short staffed.. It was a Friday night and many other restaurants were closed even though yelp said they were open.
3. Beer was ice cold and the bread came quick. We just relaxed and enjoyed. we know it would take a bit being as busy as they were but it didn't bother us.
4. The food was surprisingly good and huge portions. Best Ribeye steak I had in a long time and my wife's chicken

We had to seat ourselves, literally she gave us our menus and told us we can pick wherever to sit. No covid protocols being taken what so ever with seating. Which is unfortunate because half way during dinner the guy to the table next to us was talking about how he just got tested for covid. Ordered the ribs and it was room temperature when given. It was an ok rib. Their baked potato was just sour cream and butter, no cheese, no green onions or even bacon. Just a potato with some sour cream, gross. The waiter was nice but took a long time just to give us a water and seemed to have ok knowledge
