Services
Physical Therapy Associates of Louisiana, Inc. is the corporate home of Physical Therapy of Lake Charles in Lake Charles, Louisiana. We are an outpatient physical therapy service provider, owned and operated by David Regan, PT. Established in 1978, PT Associates has built a strong and enduring reputation with referring physicians and patients.
It is important that you receive the physical therapy care you need. Each patient may have different needs and will be addressed individually. Appointments will be scheduled at earliest convenience. Most appointments can be scheduled the same day referrals are received or on the following day, unless there is difficulty getting prior insurance approval, attorney information, or other payment arrangements.
You will need a referral from your physician to have your insurance pay for your physical therapy treatment. Referrals are accepted from persons licensed to practice medicine: nurse practitioners, surgeons, dentists, podiatrists or chiropractors. This is provided as a convenience to your referring physician and serves as a written prescription that most insurance companies require for payment.
If you've been diagnosed with arthritis, balance disorders or osteoporosis, for example, you need a therapist who uses proven treatments for such age-related conditions. Someone who can help eliminate your pain, swelling and weakness and help you regain your lost function.

Geriatric physical therapy is a subspecialty of physical therapy that covers a wide area of issues, such as those listed above, concerning people as they go through normal adult aging, but it is usually focused on the older adult.Geriatric physical therapy helps those affected by such problems in developing a specialized program to help restore mobility, reduce pain, increase fitness levels and more.
Millions of adults suffer with back and neck pain. It's one of the most common - and most costly - health complaints in America. Millions of others suffer from shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, foot and ankle injuries and other problems related to the muscles, bones and joints. Or they have had total joint replacement surgery performed on their shoulders, hips or knees.
