Services
The early years of a child's life are the most important in his or her developmental growth. Successful school experiences should lead the child to feelings of self-worth and importance. At Sorrento Valley Children's Center, our program's objectives focus on intellectual and language development, sensory-motor development, social and emotional growth, and the attainment of a sense of well-being.
Sorrento Valley Children's Center is co-owned and directed by Carol Burkhart and Elena Juarez. Carol Burkhart received her master's degree in Child Development from the University of Tennessee in 1976. After moving to San Diego, she directed a pre-school in the North County area for 5 1/2 years. In addition, Carol has instructed courses in Parent-Child Relations at Palomar Community College.
