Services
South Texas Vet Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small and Large animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required.
Larry is a San Antonio native, and graduated from Texas A&M in 1986. Following graduation, he worked in a mixed practice for a year in south Texas, then was in a small animal only practice in Dallas. His goal was to bring the quality of medicine practiced in the big city to a rural area and apply it to all species.
Jane attended Texas A&M, and has a degree in accounting along with a CPA license. She and Larry were married prior to his attending veterinary school, and after initially putting him through school, she worked in public accounting for a number of years until the clinic was self-sufficient. She has 2 sons Danny, and Tommy, along with 3 cats, 2 dogs, horses and cattle.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. Walk-in's are welcome, but if someone has an appointment, they may be seen before you unless you have an emergency.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Took my pooch here after an eye injury. The doctors bedside manner was one I would expect for my two legged family members. She treated my dog the way we do, as family. She took her time to tell me how my dog was after surgery. I know she was busy with other clients, but for that moment I knew my Presi was the only one she was worried about. I definitely recommend this clinic. We will be using this clinic for any future visits even if its an hour drive to get there. The service rendered was well worth it!
