Very nice space just the right size for a largish group. Not too big that you find yourself trying to fill it. Has 2 rooms and outdoor space. We had string lights hanging from the ceiling and it gave us the feeling we where outside oddly enough. The staff where nice and the food was ok not sure if it was catered by them or another company. I would suggest this space for a reception or holiday party for sure. maybe a large family gathering too.

Larkins catered my reception. The food was good but there were details I was very disappointed about. My husband and I paid over $1,300 dollars for utensils, non-alcoholic beverages, cloth napkins and all other serving equipment. The amount somehow only included plastic cups. Considering I can not drink, it was very embarrassing as a bride to be toasting to all of my guests with a 3 ounce plastic cup.
Per the contract, they were supposed to be on-site for 7 hours, 4 of which was during the event. The event was from 6 to 10pm but the staff packed up all of the food at least an hour and a half

Just had my Easter dinner that Larkin's provided as take out for this year. Prepared dinner with easy to follow directions. It was like eating at the restaurant. The food was so flavorful. You could not beat the deal. I really hope this is something they offer for years to come. Thank you for providing this meal and look forward to more meals in the future.

Our wedding was originally scheduled for 04.04.2020 and because of COVID-19, we pushed our wedding date to 06.06.2020 at the last minute. Bri and the entire Larkin's team was amazing and extremely understanding and flexible throughout the many, many changes. We had venue changes (needed to be larger to social distance), date changes, time of day changes, menu changes, vendor changes, guest count changes and the Larkin's team handled every situation with grace and professionalism. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to have our wedding. Not only was the venue exactly what we needed, but the staff from Kristina, to our planner Nicole, to and caterers on hand just really made our day special.
We didn’t haven’t to worry about a thing and it was just so smooth from the planning, day of execution, to our meals, and our guests all had wonderful feedback to us from Larkin’s.
Big thank you again to Nicole for everything she was able to provide. She really was a pleasure to work with and we were so lucky to have her coordinate our day.

I do NOT recommend Larkin's on the River's Catering and venue rental.
First of all, Catering ran out of both protein selections (salmon AND pork loin) before everyone at our reception could even go through the buffet line once. The Father of the bride notified the staff and was told by someone in charge "well there is no more, there is nothing we can do." Completely UNACCEPTABLE.
We Paid for an open bar-no limit and they ran ran out of Pinot Grigio half way through the evening.
We had been REPEATEDLY told that only one area of the building is rented per time period, yet

I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and quality of their Sunday brunch. I told my server it was our first time, and asked what they had. He did not tell me anything about the food, and didn't even point out where it was. So, the meat table which was in a completely different room from the rest went unnoticed until most of the people left. My coffee had a ton of grounds in it, and they ran out of sugar. Which it took my server a very long time to come back with a styrofoam cup, from the kitchen, filled with it (no spoon). Also, only refilled our sweet teas only once in the hour and a half

This was an excellent choice for my jobs Christmas party this year. There was enough room for everyone to mingle and not feel cramped up. The views were incredibly pleasant along with the staff keeping everything running smoothly. I would definitely recommend this event space to those in need in the near future.

Attended a romantic, intimate wedding in the spring. Love the atmosphere.
In addition to the elegance of their recently updated features, the Sawmill allows the Renewal Center to hold it's monthly graduation in their banquet space. It's a wonderful arrangement that allows families, friends and Miracle Hill staff to attend.
