In the last 30 plus years i've worked with most real estate companies in the modesto area.
Matel by far is out front by a mile as the worst in the Modesto area. Matel wins 1st place again. They are so bad they also won second and third place as well. Congratulations. At least your good at something!

PLEASE READ:
First day me and my boyfriend move in we find a roach infestation the fallowing day we find out someone is siphoning our electricity. Talk about unlivable conditions. I was constantly cleaning and bombing the house. The lights flickered with our electricity being stolen. Matel didn't do anything to fix the problem, didn't help us find a new place and took money out of our deposit while we only lived there a month and all that needed to be done was mop. They told us until the first we were responsible for the property and they cleaned it without our consent before that thus subtracting

Never ever rent here. These people are the rudest people I've ever spoken to. They are liars and crooks. They will blame you for everything and steal your money. Highly unprofessional. Never ever put them down as a reference either, they will say and lie about anything to keep you from renting from someone els. Bad bad people!

Came in to check out keys to a property that I got an email on and stating that the property wouldn't be ready to rent until March but I could come in and check out the keys when I enter and asked about checking out keys I wasn't welcomed with a warm greeting and was told two different things and than another person in their office was yelling out at us (instead of getting up out of the chair and office) telling me that i wouldn't be able to check out keys yet and that I would just have to fill out an application and I just left and no one said anything as I exited....just to say the least they
