Mike and Amy Wade both grew up in Arlington and were married at First Methodist Church in Arlington. In 1983, Mike and Amy Wade purchased a funeral home in Hubbard, Texas. There they happily made their home for 20 years with their two daughters, Lauren and Keely and son, Blake. In 2003, the family built and started Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington.
Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we've lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive.
When it comes time to care for a deceased loved one, you may feel overwhelmed and confused about the next steps and options. Our funeral home staff members are here and ready to help. Whether you'd like a funeral or a more creative celebration of life, we can assist you to select the funeral service options that hold the most meaning for you and your family.
We are nothing without our dedicated staff. If you take a few minutes to get to know us online, when you walk through our doors and see familiar faces, it will make your experience with us that much better. Mike is owner and funeral director in charge of Wade Family Funeral Homes. He purchased Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard, TX in 1985, and built Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, TX in 2003.
G. K. Chesterton wrote, Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die. The men and women who served in the armed forces, whether during a time of war, or one of peace, are living examples of that contradiction. Each should be honored and remembered, so that our gratitude never fades.

I can’t say enough good things about the people who helped us at Wade Funeral Home. Hayden was our first impression, and a very good one. Angelica, Kathy, EJ, Mr. Wade and I know others who’s names escape me, we’re absolutely personable, professional, and dependable at a time our family needed it most. Ron Rose was our officiant, and was as amazing as the rest of the team. We can’t thank you all enough. 5 stars no doubt.

I'm giving my review, for yesterday's (Sept. 7, 2021) service. The service was nice. When the service ended though, they didn't give instruction on where to line up vehicles, to put hazard lights on, etc. Half of the vehicles were left behind, because the motorcycle escorts, were all in the front and no one was in the back of the line, to make sure all the vehicles were included. So we had to speed to the cemetery, (lots of traffic lights) to make it and by the time we got there, the man was already giving the farewell speech. One of the Son's were behind us, trying to get there too, as fast as

When we went to them to make arrangements they took time to go over all our options. Absolutely no pressure.
They were wonderful. They came to the house And took very good care for our family member. They were patient, caring, sensitive and took time to help us understand the process. They made a difficult situation just a bit better.

There is a reason Wade Family Funeral Home IS Arlington & surrounding city’s choice for burial services....they treat you like family and treat your family as they would treat their own, with great care, respect and professionalism.
We knew once we chose Wade Family Funeral Home that we wouldn’t have to worry about mom’s funeral services. My parish strongly recommended Wade during our initial funeral planning, and I now understand why. The Wade family, specifically Mike & Blake, were very kind, patient and generous in the professional guidance they provided during the planning process. Mike

I only wish I had known about Wade’s funeral home before both my parents and sister passed away.
When I lost my son in 2016 Wade’s helped my family through the most difficult task we’ve ever faced. I quickly realized they were more like family than ambulance chasers. Caring, compassionate and knowledgeable are sewn into this entire family. In fact my family was so moved by the loved they showed us when we were there with Jeremiah, that they moved their burial business to Wade’s from another local funeral home. They have helped numerous friends who have lost loved ones since then. They

I can’t say enough good things about the Wade Family!!! My husband and I prearranged our funerals with Blake Wade a few years back which I was very thankful for when my husband passed away. My husband and I had talked many times about our final wishes and I am thankful for that. He is a retired disabled Marine and was eligible for full military honors which he deserved. The Marines were not doing Full Honors at the time of my husbands’ death and the Wades were so kind and patient and called daily to see when that would be available ….and we waited. The service honored him above and beyond

Since December 15th dealing with this funeral home has been an absolute hassle. In order to get any information we had to call MULTIPLE times even after leaving messages over and over again because they would never return said messages or follow up with us. It took considerably longer for him to be cremated than they said it would and we never even received updates about when permits were given or when the cremation had taken place. Since then we haven’t received the death certificates which we should’ve received when we got his ashes, and now we’re being told that they just got the pending

Wade did an beautiful job with my daughter's funeral. They were warm, caring, delicate and humble, while being knowledgeable, and helpful. They helped me with some decisions that were too difficult. Their chapel where the service was held was gorgeous. While funerals as a whole are very expensive, they were much more reasonable than another local funeral home I had looked into. The chapel was much nicer and they offered more services in their packages. Would highly recommend!
