Services
Advantage Martial Arts opened in March of 2015 by Mr. Sugar and the Knoop family with the goal of having a place where families can come together to train in Tae Kwon Do. We offer no games, no hassles, and a no pressure experience. Our belief is that Martial Arts should be a fun experience and that the process should be simple.
Take a look at our great child and adult martial art programs! Each program is designed for a particular age group to help them thrive in Tae Kwon Do and outside of class. If you need help or more information, give us a call at (502) 337-7179. Lil' Ninjas will learn the FUNdamentals of basic martial arts, develop coordination, focus and learn to follow directions.
At Advantage Martial Arts we understand that the family schedule is busier now than ever before. That's why we offer many convenient class times for all ages. I am so thankful to Advantage Martial Arts for bringing my son so much joy! Master Sugar is truly a master at not only teaching techniques but discipline and respect! My son has had a difficult year with losing his dad and this studio has brought him out of his shell and smiling again! If your not a member yet you should be!

This is a great place that you want your kids to go to for Tae Kwon Do!. Mr.Sugar is really a kind and professional instructor. All the staff there is wonderful!. My son loves going there, he feels safe and very welcomed. He is also learning a lot and making progress. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!.

Mr. Sugar is really good with the kids. He takes time to not only learn each child’s name. But each kid does get some one on one time with him. As well as the other instructors as needed. His prices are reasonable. The kids all seem to get along really well too! Advantage Martial arts is the best place to go. If you are looking for Taekwondo for your child.

I can’t sing Michael Sugar’s praises higher. He is truly awesome! I love that his “staff” includes students and hope my kids will have that desire as they get older. I have two very active boys and this has been a wonderful discipline for them. He teaches self control, discipline, respect towards others, confidence building, character building (which I so appreciate), leadership and more. He goes above and beyond to work with the kids and any special needs they may need. I truly feel like he is a godsend. My boys love going!

We started both my daughter and son here in 2019. Though both are very different children, they’ve each found so many things to love about this place. We’ve met all of the staff and each bring unique lessons for my children. This is a fun and welcoming place where my kids are learning more than just martial arts. They’re learning about taking care of their bodies, taking care of others, and the importance of integrity and respect. We are very happy here!

We have been so happy at Advantage Martial Arts. Our son has been a student for several years and followed the Mr. Sugar from another facility. The instructors are all excellent and take care to engage and know each student. My son has gained confidence along with the physical aspects of his training. He also has FUN! He's 15 and has as much fun now as he did when he was younger. 5 STARS!

Mr. Sugar is the best instructor ever! He is extremely patient, the kids have so much fun and yet he still teaches discipline. The studio is clean, no smelly odors like many others we've been to in the past and it's in a very convenient location. The cost is reasonable and they are very flexible with their classes to accommodate our busy extra curricular activity schedule. I would recommend Advantage Martial Arts to anyone!

We love Advantage Martial Arts and Mr. Sugar! Mr. Sugar is very patient with the young students and all of his staff is very nice and knowledgeable. He is doing things right and we're glad we chose his facility. My son has learned so much not just about martial arts but also about respectfulness. Can't recommend them enough!
