A Local move is a relocation within your own state, but usually out of your county. Preparations are generally the same as those for a Long Distance Move, but in most Local Moves, you should plan on spending at least one night away from either home. Moving out-of-state requires detailed planning. Your key to success is to be familiar with every aspect of the move, and to manage those elements over which you have control.
Pack one room at a time, marking each box with a description of its contents and destination i.e. Double box fragile items and fill voids between boxes with packing paper or bubble cushioning to avoid shifting. Phone conversations with Helen, who was my contact with their office throughout the move, were efficient, productive, and helpful.

Stay Away!! We booked with them months ago and now less than a week before they move, they called me to tell me "sorry, we can no longer move you on that day and don't have the truck!" This put our family in such a bad situation. The owner and Helen didn't even try to figure out a way to make it work on the day they confirmed and promised. It's so last minute that its very hard to find another mover in time. Extremely unprofessional and horrible service. I just want to warn people to stay away because I wouldn't want this to happen to any other family last minute!

STAY AWAY! This is an extremely unprofessional company. We booked and the truck arrived when I went downstairs to let them in, the driver left. I called Helen to ask what was going on and she said the driver would not go around the block and come back to park and begin the job. She said she couldn’t make the driver come back and she didn’t know what to tell me. She would not escalate this to a superior. I took off of work, I planned my whole day around the move. I saw the truck down the block and they would not come back simply because the driver did not want to. We ended up paying so so much
