The Office of the Seneca County Engineer is dedicated to the prudent use of taxpayer monies for the maintenance and repair of our County Highway System. We have a "fix it first" approach to maintaining our extensive infrastructure network. Bridges and roads are evaluated annually and are prioritized according to a five year master plan that involves local, federal and state funding.

The County Engineer's Department is funded through State Gas Tax and State License Fees. We receive no revenue from the County General Fund, property taxes or sales tax. Grant Funding comes from a variety of sources, including; Ohio Public Works Commission, Federal Highway Administration, Ohio Department of Transportation.
