Keystone Family Acupuncture, Inc. first opened in 2015 in Providence, Rhode Island. Our main goal was always to create a family orientated practice where the needs of the whole family could be addressed and met with complementary medicine. The word "Keystone" was chosen to represent bridging both the Eastern and Western sides of medicine together, to complete the healing journey.

Services
Some insurance plans may cover Acupuncture. We currently bill through the following insurance companies which include acupuncture benefits: Blue Cross and Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Neighborhood Health Plan, Aetna and Cigna. You may also submit a treatment invoice to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
Everyone has a different experience during their first acupuncture treatment but generally most patients report feeling extremely relaxed and sometimes even euphoric but also occasionally one may also experience more fatigue or soreness around the treatment points which should eventually dissipate within a few hours.
Cupping dates back over a thousand years and this type of therapy uses glass, plastic or silicone cups depending on the area being treated and area of the body. Traditional fire cupping uses glass cups and an open flame to both warm the cups and create the desired suction on the skin. Glass suction cups with a handheld pump will be most frequently used in the clinic due to ease of use and adaptability to different areas of the body.
