I like to describe my photographs as colorful, emotional, and natural. I do not use a lot of props and prefer to capture you as you really are, whether we are playing in your backyard at your home, going for a walk on the beach, or hanging out at your favorite park. My goal is to capture the love and connection in your family.
The weeks right before your baby comes are such a magical time. You will never be this pregnant with this child ever again. It might not feel like it now, but someday, you will scarcely be able to remember what it was like to carry a child in your belly. Without a photograph, you might struggle to remember how you looked.
Cara captured the love and joy and comedy of having children all in a few simple shots. Her natural talent coupled with her way of making children feel comfortable and engaged made the photo shoot a fun family event. We love the pictures and will treasure them always! She is the Founder of Naytra Couture based in Wellesley, MA. Naytra Couture produces hand crafted, wearable art in the form of tunics, blouses, and scarves. I was introduced to Shagun early in 2020 by a mutual friend. My first 'meeting' with her was over the phone. As Shagun told me the story of how her business was born, I could hear the incredible passion in her voice as she spoke about her business.

We had an excellent experience with Cara! She was friendly, professional, and a prompt communicator. I called Cara very last minute with a request for an infant photography shoot in our home right before the holidays. She responded to me quickly and we booked the session for the very next week! Our photos turned out even better than I expected and Cara came with a lot of her own ideas about ways to stage our home and get the best lighting. We first met Cara during The Front Steps Project and loved the photos she took of our family (I was very pregnant for the first photo, and she came back once baby was born to recreate the photo for us - so very sweet!). We hired her to come back to take newborn photos with our daughter and she did a phenomenal job. She is a really wonderful photographer and we were especially impressed with her ability to use natural light, direct quickly, understand what types of photos we did (and didn't) want, and make us feel safe as we socially distanced and wore masks during the shoot. We recently did a newborn shoot with Cara for our 4th child and I was so impressed with how calm and relaxed she was with all of our chaos for the shoot. Our kids are all under the age of 7 so wrangling them and keeping everyone engaged is no easy task. She rolled with everything and captured some fantastic pictures of all of us! Cara shot a nice balance of candid family moments and posed pictures. She was efficient but not rushed during the shoot and got us our gallery of pictures very quickly. I would highly recommend her to anyone and can't wait to use her again!

This is the second time we have worked with Cara. She photographed our family when our first child was born and we immediately thought of her when we were expecting our second. She is truly a pleasure to work with. This time, knowing we had a Sesame Street-loving toddler, she showed up with a stuffed Elmo and Grover, which my son fell in love with.
