The Mark-It

The shop's fearless leader, Jeff, hails locally from Cross Keys, Virginia. He is a graduate of Spotswood High School and holds a BFA in graphic design from James Madison University. Jeff has over a decade of apparel design experience and in his spare time, enjoys creating art, watching live music, and climbing mountains.

We are a local print and embroidery shop focused on providing quality custom apparel service in a timely manner. We place a premium on quality artwork and personal service, and because of our size, our customers can communicate directly with the people who will be embellishing their items.

Harrisonburg, Virginia is an exceptional place, and we are honored to provide custom t-shirts, apparel, and more to many of the businesses and individuals who make this city tick.We aim to invest in our community and forge connections with our neighbors while also serving customers nationally. The Mark-It started as a kiosk in the Valley Mall in the mid-1990's before moving to a nearby storefront location several years later.

Screen printed apparel is our main endeavor, and you could say it's our forte. We have two multicolor screen presses on the production floor and a top-notch team of printers who keep them running. Our screen print order turnaround is typically between 7-10 business days, depending on order size and shop schedule.

We can print up to six spot colors. We are not able to print full-color photographs or color gradients. We offer graphic design services and support and are happy to advise on a case-by-case basis whether artwork will need to be adjusted for screen printing. Contact us for more information. We offer complimentary graphic design service for custom orders over 100 pieces, and for a reasonable fee alongside smaller orders.

For the time being, with the safety of our staff and customers in mind, we will be continuing to operate with a closed door policy. While customers won't be allowed inside the building, we are dedicated to making pickups, drop-offs, and sample selection as convenient as possible on our front porch or at our back door.
