DLC Arbor Services
DLC Arbor Services is a professional tree service company operating in the Denver area since 1980. We are licensed and insured for pruning, tree and stump removal, insect and disease control, and fertilization. DLC Arbor is an A+ BBB Accredited Business and a recommended by Team Dave Logan. DLC Arbor has one of the only International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Board Certified Master Arborist on staff in Denver.

We are a prescription-based tree service company, which means a tree diagnosis by our arborist defines all work performed. He generates a quotation, and the job begins upon customer approval. Our customers benefit because all tree service work completed follows tree industry-accepted best practices.
Services
DLC Arbor has proudly provided custom tree pruning services in Denver for over 30 years. Many of the trees found in Denver yards originate from the forest. In forests, trees grow close together with limited light and space, causing them to grow tall with short, evenly-spaced branches. In an urban setting with abundant light and space, trees branch out erratically, growing at the same rate as the central leader.
Sometimes the most beloved trees needs to be removed because they die or become hazardous. DLC Arbor Services has proudly provided tree removal for over 30 years in Denver and its surrounding suburbs. Trees add ambiance to any yard. However, even the most beloved tree eventually dies and needs to be removed.
DLC Arbor Services offers professional stump grinding to reclaim valuable landscape space. No stump is too big for us. For large stumps, we use a large Vermeer stump grinder the removes the stump down four to six inches below grade. The powerful Vermeer stump grinder is adaptive, decreasing yard damage.
DLC Arbor Services has proudly provided tree insect control for over 30 years in Denver and its surrounding suburbs. Much like humans, trees can become unhealthy. However, the experts at DLC Arbor know how to diagnose insect infestations and diseases in your trees before it's too late. We will recommend and administer the proper treatment in the least invasive and safest manner possible.
This handy tree insect calendar helps homeowners identify what's bugging your trees. DLC Arbor Services employs one of the few ISA Certified Master Arborist in the Denver area. We continuously monitor for new or re-emerging insects or diseases and advise action when necessary. This insect radiated out of Cherry Hills Village several years ago and now found across the Denver Metro area.

We received terrific service from this company in the removal of a 60-year-old blue spruce. Bob Anderson priced our job - a board certified mastor arborist who knows his stuff. A different company had agreed to the job but backed out
after a 2-week delay, yet DLC's price was LESS than the other company and they followed through like the pros they are. Their cleanup was meticulous, large crew, very polite. They're on Dave Logan's list.

Thought we needed one or possibly two 30 year old trees removed from back yard. Bob came out only a week after contacting them (other firms were not even coming out for 8 weeks) and his first question was why we wanted them removed. Advised us that the trees were healthy and to trim them instead. The two large trees were shading the entire back of the house and will now continue to do so for years to come. While the initial estimate was that the work could not be completed until December they were able to complete the job in early October. Total cost for trimming five trees and a stump removal

Michele was very helpful scheduling tree removal before our house got painted. Tree was right next to the house blocking outside wall. They also ground the stump down 10 inches below surface. Doesn't even look like tree was there now.

Everyone we came in contact with was terrific (Bob, the arborist, Ann and Michele in the office and the crew). DLC was prompt, provided a variety of services (pruning, disease treatment, stump grinding, etc.), coordinated the crews well, and the crews were professional/attentive and concerned with the little things (e.g. cleaning up well, making sure they got everything on the quote complete, etc.). Great company to do business with!!

Trimmed trees at a rental property, my end of the experience was great - good communication, clear explanation on the prices, and a job well done. We then have two renters text us saying how nice they were to work with. will definitely use again!

Received this message after being told they would be out for an estimate that week--
Ann,
We have not serviced Green Valley Ranch for years. Please contact this person to cancel the estimate request. Please do not tell them that you just found out that we do not service that area because this is nothing new and something we’ve discussed before.
Thank you!

Great service! Bob explained what needed to be done to our large ash trees and gave us an estimate. His guys showed up a couple of weeks later and they did exactly what he recommended. The clean up was great, in fact they cleaned up most of our leaves that had fallen this past fall. Highly recommended.

I have been around a few years and was beginning to think ethics no longer existed, but I found a ton of it at D,L,C. Tree. From the estimate to the cleanup everything was done right and on time. The 2 men, Preston and Bryon displayed a clear desire to do the job right for the Customer, their Employer, and Themselves. Companies like this should actually get 6 stars. I will definitely call them next time I need tree service.
P.S. The office staff are also a pleasure to work with for scheduling and billing.

Based upon the address, this appears to be the same as DLC Landscape, Inc. They are the company contracted by my HOA for landscaping services and snow removal. If I was reviewing them based solely on their snow removal, they would get a much better review. They remove the snow, in a timely manner, awesome. BUT, since they do more than snow removal, and they are terrible with other things, this review reflects that.
They are contracted to mow the front yards, aerate and fertilize the front and back yards, and turn on and off your sprinkler systems. Here is my thoughts on how they do:

A long overdue positive review: Great experience with the company from start to finish. The bidding process was easy, and Ken and crew who did the tree removal were fantastic. Removed the trees as discussed, and cleaned up everything to perfection. They were professional and fast, and everyone I dealt with at the company was easy to work with. I had two other bids and DLC was the most competitive. Yay! It's so refreshing to have your expectations exceeded!

Used DLC this summer to trim up a large elm in my back yard. Work was completed for a good price and done as scheduled. My tenants said it looked good, so I was pleased, until I saw the tree myself in the summer when I visited. I have an undergrad in horticulture, and a graduate degree in landscape architecture, so you could say I've looked at a few trees in my day. This tree was butchered. Why not a 1 star? It was an overgrown elm, that is messy, drops a ton of debris, etc. It now looks like a Dr. Seuss tree, and brings me one step closer to a take down, so I'm not that fussy

We had a dead honey locust tree in our backyard that needed to be removed. They removed the tree and cleaned up all the debris. Due to the access issues of our back yard (we don'thave a gate) we opted for just the tree removal service and did not have the stump removed so our cost was for tree removal only. The company showed up at the time/date agreed upon and did what was expected. We bought a coupon for $105 for $200 worth of work on Angie's list so the total cost without the coupon would be $650. We did get an estimate from two other companies and DLC was the lowest of all three.

DLC Does great work! Well priced and their employees know a lot about what they are doing & they do it well. They take their time and make sure it's done right. They have all the latest equipment, heavy risers & rigs, so they can get to almost any size tree. They removed some trees for us & cleaned up the dead in our backyard.

Highly recommend.

I had them remove an Aspen and trim nearly all my trees and bushes in the front and back of my house. The price was reasonable and they did an excellent job. They cleaned up, even covered the aspen stump with rock so that it was not detectable. I asked them to trim a little more from an evergreen and they happily did so to make sure the tree was straight. Most important, they had a good "eye" for tree trimming since it is an "art" to get a tree symmetrical. I will definitely use them for all of my future tree and bush services!
