Awesome. I contacted several other floor refinisher companies and Jason was timely and responsive as well as the best price. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding our 1921 Cottage Douglas fir floors. He knew the correct way to to seal the floors with an oil based product. He transformed the old dark finish. His crew were very professional, clean, and even helped move an old heavy upright Piano which no one else would touch. You can’t go wrong with Jason!!

I am contractor who has always installed my own floors. In the interest of time, I decided to sub the finishing/ refinishing of some floors on a job in Traverse City. Wish I had thought of Practical Renovations sooner! Jason and his team did a phenomenal job- fast, quality, professional in every way. Showed up when they said they would and got the job done (beautifully) ahead of schedule. These are my go-to guys for floors from now on. Very well done and a pleasure to work with!

Our floor is drop-dead gorgeous! We had existing maple and wanted to add new maple hardwood floors in our living room. They were able to "weave" the two floors together seamlessly and the results are stunning. Jason and his crew, Scott and Tyler are so nice and really want you to be satisfied. Thank you!

Jason and crew installed a beautiful character white oak floor in our cottage, which enhanced the rustic charm of our living and dining rooms while tying in perfectly with the tile floor in our kitchen. The work was reasonably priced and the job completed on time. Everything was done in a neat and professional manner. We highly recommend this company and would happily work with them again on another project!

We had Practical Renovations refinish and stain our red oak floors along with adding red oak to several adjoining rooms. Several companies told us that weaving in new flooring with the old flooring would be difficult, costly, and not yield a good result. Jason and his team were able to weave in the new flooring at a nominal cost and it came out great, you can't tell the new flooring from the old. We wanted the grain in the red oak to stand out so Jason worked with us to select a stain that gave us the look we wanted.
