I hired Steve a year ago to help me with my case. It's been more than one year now and he has not given me any response to an update to my case. He's been dodging all my emails, text, and calls. He is a scam and I do not recommend him to anyone. He will take your money and run without any explanation, updates, whatsoever. You will not hear back from him. This illegitimate abusive man took my $4500.00 on May 23-20. 2.5 weeks later I wrote him ( email) and asked him what he had done on my case ( a .03 no traffic stop case.) He was full of excuses as to why he had not done any of the things he said he would- and suddenly my case was " so difficult?"

I've still never met this attorney and I hired him 2 months ago. Totally unresponsive office. He
uses lawyers that aren't part of his firm. I hired him and have not been able to call him, at all!
The offive secretarys have zero answers for me when I call, and are incredibly rude. They don't know the specifics of my case, nor do they know anything about the law they claim is their speciality, criminal defense. Good luck with this office. Mr Whitworth recently told me he was going to take my case. However, I never heard back from Mr Whitworth. Common decency dictates that an attorney respond in a professional manner to prospective clients. In my opinion, the legal profession seems to attract the worst members of our society. Even Shakespeare, 400 years ago, had some real bad things to say about attorneys. I gave Mr Whitworth one star which is one star too many. I refuse to deal with disrespectful members of our society. If you value your time and money, STAY AWAY. I made a big mistake reading positive reviews and hiring mr Steve Whitworth. Â first appointment was great. Lots of promises and as soon as you make that deposit and he wants you to pay the whole sum right away, you are out of luck. Communication is NON EXISTENT, you will chase and beg him for an updates about your case and in the best case scenario you will receive a text " ALL IS WELL." I hired Mr. Whitworth for a DUI/FELONY case. Mr. Whitworth was barely present at any of the courts I had. He was easy to hire but hard to get in contact with from that point on. Perhaps it was my mistake for paying his fees in total and upfront. When he did show up he was great in court and had my felony dropped to a misdemeanor. But everything in between and after was terrible. My case was suspended as I was pregnant and then breastfeeding. I still had court dates and he was nowhere to be found. 1) his secretary lost my cashiers check. I was not called about the lost check until the night before my first court date. She called me at 5:28 to tell me she was leaving at 5:30. My court date was at 9 am.
2) they failed to notice that a dmv hearing was scheduled for a Sunday. Furthermore, I was not notified of this error. The dmv suspended my license in error. I found out when the DMV released my drivers history to my employer. I was fired as a result. And I had to call Steve's office

Unfortunately, due to the behavior and consistent disregard to my emails, that has led to this review. I hired Steve around November for an case where I had been assaulted, I barely received contact from Steve or his staff after the initial consultation conversation. I've requested my case file Twice now, over 10 days apart and when I first asked I got the most basic, barron two word answer from my "attorney" telling me "Will Do", I guess I should've been thankful he replied at all as usually he doesn't seem to bother. Steve was my lawyer for a very serious felony case earlier this year. He showed up at 4am while I was in jail to brief me on how to get out. He not only got me out, but got me the best possible deal. I Was facing 15 years prison and I got 30 days house arrest. He knows his stuff and will fight for you because he cares.

We hired his services and he promised to get a rehab program for my wife instead of doing time at county jail, he only went to the first court date and to extend the date of the next court date and he never came back to represent my wife. We are very unhappy and disappointed with his services. She ended up getting the time originally offered in the first court date and without representation. Then he says he will call me and never did; then that he will go and visit my wife at jail to go over the case and never did. He did not come through with his promises and never followed up about the case

At first we were pleased. however, he failed to show up at court twice which resulted in an arrest warrant for our daughter who was out of the country at college which he well knew.
he also sent us to court without his or a sub's representation. the court clerk was appalled. correspondence with his office was weak at best and they rarely got back to us with answers to our important questions..just rude. we felt very unimportant and it was a very frustrating experience. never again.

I highly recommend Steve Whitworth. He represented an underage relative of mine who had already gotten two DUI's and had not followed through on addressing them. Steve continued to try to reach him and to help him, even though my relative was unresponsive to his requests to make contact. When the young man decided to try to clear himself of the matter, a year later, Steve was still there for him and charged us less than other lawyers would have to represent him. I can't say that the case got dismissed, but I think the outcome was fair, and I laud Steve for continuing to do his best throughout

First let me start by saying this. I have done property management for years, however I am not a lawyer and you get your share of tenants that just want to make life miserable for you. I really had no choice but to Hire Steve to help me with a situation that spiraled out of control with a tenant that just was destroying the property, not paying, and just being a huge headache.
