I have been in the early childhood field for over 30 years. I graduated from Northeastern University and have taken many graduate level courses at other institutions. I opened Creative Kids in 1985 after leaving the corporate world to raise my three youngest children. Creative Kids is an infant/toddler preschool that services a diverse population of children three months to five years of age.
I am a member of Action for Children and the Early Childhood Network of Rogers Park and Edgewater. I studied at Reggio Emelia Schools of Italy, took the Design Institute Spirit of Place at Harvard University, and the Infant Toddler Program for Caregivers through the Center for Children and Family Studies in Sausalito, California.

Services
Play is at the heart of our early childhood program. Children play with simple, natural toys and materials and are guided through their day by a gentle rhythm of physical, cognitive, and creative play in addition to structured meals and story time. Our program also includes the arts, music and movement, math skills, yoga and lots of outdoor activities.

My son graduated from high school and is now in online community college (yay covid), but he started all those years ago with Nancy. I'm a child care nurse consultant so I've audited a lot of programs. Nancy is amazing with kids and is very meticulous mentoring her staff. She talked me off the ledge a few times even though I'm in the field, but was still a bewildered new parent. Creative Kids is ALL about child development, exploration, imagination, socialization and fun.
