Smitty's has been providing exceptional childcare for children in Jacksonville, Florida over 39 years. The "FunShine Express" program continues for your 2 & 3 year old Caterpillars, preparing them for eventual entry into the VPK (Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten) program. Class is offered from 9:00 am- 12:00 pm for our FREE VPK program using "FunShine Express" and "ELLM Plus" curriculum.
Mini Camp is for children who have completed VPK and who will be entering kindergarten in the fall. Child care available before and after school during the school year and on school holidays. We strive to provide quality childcare by providing programs that truly enhance the emotional, social, physical and intellectual growth of each child.

At Smitty's we believe that the early childhood years are the most formative time in human development. Our teachers seek to create an environment for successful and fun learning. We firmly believe that each child is a special and unique individual and will foster each child's pride and security to his or her own identity while promoting all of the children's awareness of and respect for others.
Our parents praise the "Foundations to Success" curriculum we use with our infants and toddlers. Our little "Cuddle Bugs" love the puppets and picture cards used to promote their vocabulary skills. Our teachers love the reward of seeing the faces of children light up with the excitement of learning.
