Dr. Linda Kauffman, owner of Burnt Fork Veterinary Clinic, has cared for animals since the clinic opened in 1999. Dr. Kauffman grew up on a hog and cattle farm in eastern Nebraska. She was always outside helping her dad, and her first try at porcine obstetrics came at the age of six when her dad wanted help delivering piglets from a smaller young sow.
Dr. Kirstin Bull is a Bitterroot Valley native, growing up just down the road in Corvallis. She comes from a very dog friendly family and she raised sheep for 4-H (which Dr. Kauffman treated several times) sparking her interest in rural, mixed animal veterinary medicine. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Montana State University and attended veterinary school at Colorado State University.

We had to put our dog of 15 years down due to congestive heart failure. The staff here was very caring and made a very difficult time a little easier. They even sent a card just to convey their condolences a week later. A very nice office staffed with very kind-hearted people, they will be our go-to vet from now on.

Receptionist is absolutely rude. Hung up on me because I was frustrated and tried to ask her for a different option than what she suggested- not being rude or raising my voice, was not cursing or being aggressive in any way, just told her that her suggestion was not an option for me and that I had tried everything. Only to get told "we aren't going to put up with that, I'm going to disconnect now" and get hung up on. I literally asked what was wrong and that I apologize for anything I did but she hung up in the middle of me saying it. Glad I never got to make an appointment here, there's no way

My pets, 2 dogs and a cat, have been receiving care at BFVC since I moved here 6 years ago. The "critters" get caring and compassionate care, health tips , and they treat each critter like it's their FAVORITE!
An autopsy was done on my previous Aussie because neither the veterinarians nor I could fathom what killed her so quickly...although it was extremely difficult to put her down, at least after the autopsy we knew death was due to a kinked and ruptured intestine.
Then a month later when I arrived with another Aussie puppy, the office staff was elated to see me start again (at my senior citizen
