Dr. Phelan (aka Dr. Flores), a well loved veterinarian at BAH, has decided to move onto a different phase in her life and is no longer with our hospital. Although we are forever grateful for the knowledge and care that she took of our patients, we wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors.

After graduating from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, she practiced emergency and general medicine in the Coachella Valley until 2014.Dr. Folden always wanted to return to Humboldt County to live, work, and play, as she was a previous HSU student athlete. She and her husband had also started raising their family here before leaving for veterinary school.

I used to take my pets to Eureka veterinary clinic, but unfortunately they shut down and Broadway animal hospital absorbed their clients. In my experience Broadway doesn't accommodate deaf clients by responding to emails. Their prices are what you would normally expect. Nothing great stands out about this place and it's likely I will have records transferred to Arcata Animal hospital where I hope they would be more accommodating.

The helpful staff at Broadway Animal Hospital were the only ones willing to see Meatball as a new patient. We took him in for a puncture wound he received the night before. The vet gave him a thorough exam, treated his wound, and administered antibiotics. We were given clear instructions for home care and his wound healed within a few days. I would certainly recommend them for any pet owners new to the area!

We are new to the Eureka area and one of our first priorities was to find a veterinarian for our 2 dogs and 2 cats. We chose Broadway Animal Hospital based on reviews and their website. We also liked that they have an on-site lab. We chose very well - all staff, from receptionists to assistants to the doctors, are knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. We have real peace of mind knowing our little loved ones are receiving kind attention and the best care.

It is sad to watch a business slip from a hero to a zero. I'm still struggling (for weeks) to get them to resolve problems they created with trying to order prescriptions through their website. So far I've wasted a lot of time with multiple visits (they were 1/2 hour late even starting our last appointment), phone calls (where you are forced to listen to their announcements and self-promotion before you maybe get a live person but more often voicemail) and email (at least 6 so far). I cannot say enough about how well this hospital exceeded our expectations. We brought our dog in last minute while on a cross country road trip. They were able to schedule us in relatively quickly, especially considering none of the other vets in the area were accepting any new clients at all. As review and taking time after being concern about my service dog health. I believe B.A hospital has done everything they can but they been there when I had emergencies care. I love the kind staff and Dr. Flores if I said it right. I would love to continue working with B.A hopital future. I hope to find out by another vet what going on with my service dog but hope to come back as do like them. But B.A hospital does a good service.

We went here on an emergency basis in the middle of the night because they were the ones on call Memorial Day weekend. Our old dog was very sick, and we had to make that terrible, heart-wrenching decision to do what was best for her and end her pain. Even though we'd never met them before, these vets made us feel very comforted and supported on one of the worst nights of our lives. I am so grateful that they took over the business, because I dealt with the former owner years ago, and he was not very compassionate at all. We hope we never have to use the emergency vets again, but if we do,

I give good reviews or bad reviews I usually don't waste my time reviewing mediocre. So it was impressive or disappointing, and Broadway Animal Hospital was on the impressive list for sure.
My Dog recently had a horrible diagnosis and the Dr. was able to diagnose the situation with minimal testing and cost. The staff was compassionate and helpful and that meant a lot to me during a sad time. Blue was my best friend for 10 years and losing him was hard. Being guided by experience was relieving.

Absolutely love this vet. We began at Eureka Vet, and when they closed they transferred our records there. After our first appt to get seen as a regular patient there, we were sold. Dr. Tavares is so gentle and kind. She answers all of our questions without making us feel rushed, or stupid. Our dog has heartbreakingly recently been diagnosed with Congestive heart failure, and they go above and beyond to help us, by not only helping us get the best and most care possible and doing everything they can to keep costs as low as possible (which seems unheard of these days), to calling often just to check

I just called these guys to get an estimate for getting my 10 pound chihuahua fixed, and was quote a price of $450.00! How can this be when every other vet hospital has quoted me between $150.00 and $200.00. Are these guys insane? What is it that they do that warrants $250.00 more than the highest price that I have been quoted. Holy Moley! Are they using 24 karat gold surgical instruments? Ridiculous! Took my cat, Umi, in for an exam today and I was extremely impressed with everyone at Broadway Animal Hospital. The technician and receptionists were very professional and helpful. Dr. Tavares was amazing! She spent her time explaining everything to me and was very patient and kind to my cat who tends to be more than a little grouchy during exams. Their costs are very reasonable and worth every penny! I am grateful for the care that they gave Umi and the service they gave me.

Right now I am completely annoyed over Dr. Tavares blaming me for "communication" issues when I was the one speaking clearly with staff on "extensive sanity clipping" needed.
When I was billed for a full office visit after going in to just discuss the clipping problem I was really unhappy, and asked to speak with the office manager, then unavailable.
I finally called THEM today, and the charge for the 2nd a full office visit/exam I did not want or expect was refunded, cheerfully by staff. Which I appreciate.
I remain leery as to how I can better express myself after both

My heart breaks again... I don't know many people who have to cremate their dogs twice--
But I do. The heartache.
Two months ago,
I unfortunately had to emergency euthanize Juno, as she had reached the end of her days prematurely to a
Brain tumor. It was the hardest thing I've done, possibly in my whole life...
Today, two months since her death, I was curious to why I had not received any ashes or word about her from the vet.
I found out today, after calling them, that my dog is STILL sitting in a freezer at the vet after two months! She still sits there, unable to go to

I cannot speak highly enough about this office. Everyone is professional and knowledgeable. I have seen both Dr. Otto and Dr. Tavares and Chris the vet tech too. They are all amazing.
During the last months of my senior dogs life, they went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable. The office was about to close on Friday night when they got in her test results and they personally drove the medication to my house so my 13 year old dog wouldn't have to be in pain over the weekend. They were extremely kind and compassionate when i finally made the call to bring her into the office
