We combine over 30 years of expertise in curly and wavy hair care, with our our own proprietary products developed over the years to address the special care that curly and wavy hair requires.

Utterly disappointed.
I booked from 2:30-430 for me and my friends birthday to get haircuts for the first time since pandemic has lightened up.
3 hours before they ask if we can do them at the same time and have an hour instead of the 2 I had already booked. I agreed due to their high reviews and it gave us more time to do other stuff.
Traffic was bad and having never been here we ended up almost 15 mins late too which is part of why i was happy we booked 2 hours in the first place.
So we get in don't get much of a greeting at all or even introductions to our stylists. Def not what i expect

Daniel Miller what can I say? The best hairstylist in San Francisco!!! Well his wife is incredible also I used to work with them at maiden lane salon and also here at salon Dna but unfortunately had to move away due to family Illness...me and my fiancé came here for an updo for our wedding he is absolutely the best and does a great job!!! He's also my go to guy for haircuts even when I was a hairstylist here... go see Daniel or adelice you won't be disappointed love you guys!!

I had a worst experience with stylist John B. I booked appointment for full balayage. He literally made me wait more than 1 hour to be seated in a chair and then he put a test color and left to work on 2 other clients hair. I literally spent waiting 1 hour 30 mins in the salon for nothing. Ridiculous. I asked him to take out the test color as I have plans for the rest of the day. He said come back tomorrow and I will only have you and will give you special discount for the late today. Of course I didn't fall for his "discount" sugar coating.

WOW JOAO - but you can call him "John" is truly a gift from God. Not only did I feel like I was in good hands, I was able to express my concerns and ideas through pictures and he was able to make me feel completely confidant and at ease that my hair would be transformed to the most beautiful rendition to my desires! I had an amazing experience!!! João was the hairstylist who toke care of me. Amazing guy!!! He is definitely a blond expert! I have been in many hairstylist before, none of them like Joao!

Adelice and Daniel are the best! I made a mess of my hair trying to take care of it myself during the pandemic. Adelice cleaned it up beautifully and with no judgement! I had a color and keratin treatment. Adelice was very thorough, professional and took care of every detail and then Daniel did the finishing touches perfectly! So happy to have found these two! It's a late review cause I still not over it. After some research on internet looking for a nice place to have my highlights done I booked it , I was there in time but have to wait for 20 minutes to be seated.
I have medium fine hair, length not long than my shoulders and it took me SEVEN hours to have my highlights done, SEVEN hours, in my entire life it never took more than 3 hours to have my highlights done . I was tired, pain in my neck, back and butt, I told the hair stylist Alex that was working in my hair that the product was burning my ears and he start yelling at me saying that

After living in the Bay Area for over 5+ years, I had never established a hair stylist I loved. As a brown woman, I often had less than pleasurable experiences in downtown SF salons. After a year of not doing anything to my hair bc COVID, I took the leap with Daniel!
I felt incredibly safe, he double masked and had his chair spotless. Daniel takes HIS TIME, deff don't feel like another slot on someone's calendar. His products are all high end and great quality. I felt really comfortable for the first time ever in a salon and

If anyone is wondering, Salon DNA has created a safe space to have your hair done during Covid. The sanitation, social distancing and masks made me feel safe on a recent appointment with Adelice.
Adelice, did an amazing job as usual with my keratin, so straight and shiny. My hair is in such great condition after all of Adelice's pampering. Thank you so much, I really needed that after so many months. Thank you!!

Love this place . I like changing my hairstyle, and it's the only place I go for hair color or simply for a blow dry.
For me it is by far the best salon in San Francisco.
Adelice and all the member staff are amazing. They really do take care of you and your hair !

Adelice is a master colorist and stylist. Whether you want a simple tint, gloss, or hi-lights or an amazing, bouncy blow dry, Adelice will do a masterful job. Adelice is so passionate about hair and has been styling hair since childhood in Brazil. She will give honest recommendations and reasonable expectations.
I recently had an awesome treat of trying a new Japanese deep conditioning treatment that just took a few minutes. My hair is so soft and supple. Highly recommended!

I booked into Salon DNA in-advance for my wedding day to have my hair and makeup done.
On the day I was treated like royalty, the ladies could not have spoilt me more. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the salon is itself beautiful. Many people throughout the day asked about hair, not just me dress.
My makeup was subtle and perfect for my wedding day.
I cant recommend Adelice Miller and Thays Lima enough.

Most terrible experience. Adelice Miller burned my hair and scalp. I came back next day hoping she would take responsibility for the bad job. She left a bleach on my hair for more than an hour the day before yesterday doing my highlights. She neglected me working with another client. My hair is damaged now and smell with chemicals. I am loosing my hair. It's very dry and weak. My scalp is burning. I am using aloe gel to calm my scalp.
She also threatened me with cameras and court. SHE called me a LIAR. And she has not even inspected my hair. She made

After doing my nails for 30 years - 18 in SF I can "irrevocably" say that I just had the worst manicure and pedicure in my whole life.
The top worse - period. I feel like I literally throw away $55 plus $5 tip in the street. I walked away feeling robbed and disappointed to celebrate my birthday undone = (

I had some time today and decided to walk in to this salon instead of going to my usual since it was too far. Grace proceeded to dye my hair but did not cover many of my gray hairs and used the excuse that "lady, it just won't work on your grays... your grays won't take a dark brown #4color... I would have to go darker to cover your grays... I would have to use black black... and you wouldn't want that... it wouldn't look good. Okay, lady?!"
