Sometimes the hardest part of trying something new is taking that first step to get started. Here are some guidelines for using the studio and getting started at Searchlight. Your first class is free! Read our teacher bios and class descriptions to figure out which class you want to go to- if you're a beginner, consider a Foundations or Gentle class.
You can then create a client profile and reserve your spot. If you are not tech savvy, just come on in- our helpful front desk staff is on hand to help you get set up, just make sure you show up 15 minutes early for your scheduled class. Students are welcome to borrow a mat for free at their first visit.

Services
An All Levels class will accommodate nearly every student from the beginner to the most accomplished practitioner. Each yoga asana will be built upon in stages, so ideally there is a variation for everyone- the beginner can sink in to the base pose and experienced students can add variations. Every Vinyasa is optional!

Beautiful space and folks!
Took a really wonderful 90 min flow class with Betsy at a friend's suggestion and it was truly magic. Betsy is a real salt of the earth kind of teacher and I felt she made the practice very accessible while still challenging. I was very impressed with my entire experience there and will be back next time I am in Gainesville!

Class itself was good but it was not very welcoming for a new person. I know Yoga is not rocket science but having never done it I walked in for the free class and was handed a mat and that was it. I Was confused and stressed, no one even followed up with me afterwards it was an odd experience. I’ll definitely try out some other places.

The studio is a wonderful space but I feel as though there should be a wall between the studio practice space and the front desk area that prevents florescent lights from shining your face while you practice.
The studio is nice and they have cool merchandise, as usual I wish they would keep smaller sizes stocked, but every yoga studio have been to seems to have this issue.
Hot power yoga is my jam so I went to a morning invigorate class based off of the descriptions provided on the website, which promises a fast-paced flow and is meant for fans of power yoga. The class was nothing close to power

Finally found my yoga home. Great space, wonderful teachers. Classes that fit all levels, style and schedule. If you want to start a yoga practice or looking for like minded yogis check out Searchlight. Have been going to classes over 2 years at Searchlight and only regret having not found them before.

Searchlight is my favorite yoga studio in Gainesville. The studio is beautiful and feels so healing. All of the classes and teachers I have attended have been FABULOUS. I highly recommend their studio and look forward to the classes I take there :) They also host traveling teachers or special events (e.g. crystal bowl) which are unique and helpful. Thanks Searchlight :)

Very inviting space with a range of classes for an yogi. Also quite affordable, even for students!! It would be nice if they gave slight discounts to students but that's not keeping me from going. What really got me hooked was the 2 week unlimited pass you can buy once for $30. I really got to try every type of class offered at searchlight, and even if it wasn't my favorite, I was able to figure out which style and teacher best suited my preferences!

I've been in Gainesville now for 2 1/2 years. Hadn't found the yoga studio yet that I have enjoyed. I appreciate a meditation, body awareness, and physical. I attended the yoga flow class, it was everything I've been looking for, and One advertised all levels, variations to poses were also provided. Classes are reasonably priced, allow for a free first session, and have a donation Sunday community class. As I continue to try other classes

I recently enrolled at Searchlight for therapeutic reasons and have been so thrilled! The classes are varied and the instructors polite, calm and friendly. I get a great workout and help during difficult poses. They have excellent focus on safety and comfort and the facility and equipment is always very clean. I'll be there every week!

Searchlight is open to all levels and provides a welcoming & comforting environment. The teachers are experienced and go above and beyond to provide great classes. There are classes for everyone and always options for beginners. I highly suggest taking a class, you will be pleased. Best yoga studio in town, hands down!

Finally! A yoga studio on this side of town AND one that offers truly challenging classes. (Samantha's Tuesday night class is the place to be if you're into that.) Of course, there are PLENTY of other classes catering to all levels of yogis, from beginner to advanced. No matter how long you've been practicing, there is something here for you.
