I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce and I got sweet and sour chicken for my husband. First I thought it was a buffet cuz it said it was but when I got there it was only a buffet from 11-2 & they get u the food off of it. So I got food anyways & mine had like 6 shrimps in it and no water chestnuts. Just not the best Chinese I have had. I won't go back and get anything.

Hot drop 🍜 soup was good, I ordered extra beef broccoli, corn, carrots,celery, tofu , @ chicken..!!! If you have bad sinus like me ! This is the perfect remedy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🍜

I've been to lots of Chinese restaurants nd can say this food is high quality and delicious! Not a fancy place but nice enuf. I take out now until they open the dinning room. Only complaint was the Sweet and sour chicken had no vegetables which we discovered when we got home. Dont know if it was a mistake or only comes with chicken.

Great chinese food! Food is fresh and tasty. This is where I order if I want Chinese food. Really enjoy the Seafood Delight, spring rolls and fried chicken wings.

I highly recommend and love this place. The family that runs this business has always been super-friendly and welcoming. The food has consistently been exactly what I expect, the price is beyond reasonable, and everything has always been fresh. The meals are always exactly how I'd cook it myself if I was that gifted in the kitchen... the right amount of veggies, eggs, etc and the portions are VERY large, so come with an appetite. Had high expectations with all of the positive reviews. We ordered several menu items for dinner. Literally nothing had flavor. I mean usually white rice even has some slight flavor to it but no it was all bland. White in color. No sauce to add flavor. The sweet and sour sauce was comparable to water with red dye added. The wonton soup was water with oil and salt. The hot and sour soup was basically only flavored by black pepper. Honestly every other chinese restaurant in town is better. But I will compliment the fortune cookies. Those were pretty decent.

Everything we've tried so far has been absolutely delicious! We travel for work, so we've been to many, many different places and this is the first Chinese places that actually has perfectly spicy dishes. My husband loves spice (we are from the South, and eat lots of cajun food). Most places will label something spicy, and it wont be spicy at all to my husband. He loves these spicy dishes!

Best Chinese in Lima. The buffet is so fresh and everything on it is very tasty. I prefer China Star's buffet over other Chinese restaurant menu items. That's how good it is

Probably the best Chinese buffet in the Lima area. It is very affordable as well. I would suggest anyone to check it out.

Food isn't the best flav to my taste, but locals seem to like it. Best thing is that buffet takeout is weighed so small portion is accounted for accurately. Won't sell child buffet to adults needed for medical restriction, so this works well. Tbs soup was .25😁

I give the place two stars because Drew Carey is from Ohio!! Other than that, find something else to eat at another restaurant!!

It's not bad better than the buffet across town...cleaner too...normal Chinese fare .

China Star isn't amazing, but the food is cheap and made relatively fresh. The buffet had small amounts of a limited menu prepared. There's nothing remarkable about this inexpensive Chinese take-out.
