At A Great Start Preschool, it is our primary goal and purpose to provide a Preschool environment in which teachers and students experience an enthusiasm for learning and accomplish successes. We promise to provide the children with ample opportunities to grow socially, physically, emotionally, intellectually, and creatively in our child centered environment.
Services
When I first put together a business plan, I optimistically expected to start our first year with 40 children. After all, it was July, and with classes beginning in September, many children had already been enrolled at another school. But thanks to word of mouth referrals and blind faith, we started the school year with twice as much!
Our Session Times have been changed for the 2020-2021 School Year, to allow for a longer break between classes for cleaning. Morning Classes will be from 8:45-11:15, and afternoon from 12:15-2:45. Kindergarten will be from 12:15-3:15. Based on enrollment needs, we may also have afternoon sessions. The enrollment is for one school year, from September through May.
Extracurricular Classes at A Great Start Preschool Classes are offered October through May! A Great Start Preschool offers a variety of extracurricular classes each day of the week, during the break between our morning and afternoon sessions (11:15-12:15). Parents do not have to stay. We will let you know where to do curbside drop off/pick up for each class closer to the start date.
A Great Start Preschool has a Volunteer Program! Please let your child's teacher know what day you are available to volunteer so that we can ensure that there is only one volunteer in a classroom each day. We encourage families to help with snack, free choice, or group project time (although you are welcome into the classroom at any time!)
A Great Start Preschool is a non-profit, 501c3 organization. We operate 100% on Tuition Income, and host several fundraisers each school year to raise money for capital improvements, special programs, learning materials, and classroom resources.
