Sue fondly remembers the beginning of Straight to the Plate Catering. The economy had just tanked, we had just closed our franchise, Entrees Made Easy, and I was recovering from my illness. We only owned two chafing dishes and had no money to start a catering company. So, we got out a 4-ingredient cookbook and invited our friends to join us for a tasting for our first 25 recipes at our home.
Straight to the Plate knows there are additional demands on all levels during this difficult time we're all going through. My company used Straight to the Plate for a high-end private dinner for a group of Executives, and I couldn't have been more pleased. If I could give STTP Catering a 6 I would. Easy to work with, they helped set up a menu for our family Thanksgiving at the house that was delicious. We went family-style, and there was so.much.food. The food was great, flavorful, hot and cooked perfectly.
Don't overlook the cornbread stuffing or the sweet potato casserole as options, most of our guests went back for seconds of those!
They set everything up, were exactly on-time, courteous and organized, and everyone really enjoyed it all.

I'm the director of a local dog rescue, and we love Sue! Each year we have a big fundraiser event, and for the past two years, Sue has been so generous and has donated a dish that fed about 100 people! And I will attest that the dishes tasted absolutely amazing! We have contacted several caterers each year and asked for help but Sue is the one and only caterer who was kind enough to give back to her community and help homeless dogs. Our wedding last night was such a huge success because of Flora and the team from STTP. The reception was a huge hit with a truly amazing charcuterie table. Beautiful stations of edamame salad, stuff mushrooms, spicy meatballs, BBQ chicken and gyros - yum! This is the lowest rating I've ever given on yelp, but I would not use them again or recommend them.
The GOOD: the food was pretty good (probably 3-4 stars in itself) especially for a large group, but nothing that blew me away. The staff at the event was lovely and helpful.
The BAD: basically the management. The conflict that I ran into was over wanting to bring in home baked cookies. I had discussed it with the venue previously but when we went to our tasting we were told by Straight to the Plate that the venue may have problems with this. On discussion with the venue it was in fact Straight

I can't say enough good about Sue and her crew at Straight to the Plate catering. Before the wedding we met with Sue for a tasting. We chose a Mexican themes food buffet to include quesadillas and taco bar and the tasting was delicious! Sue remained in contact over the months before the Wedding. This company is amazing! My husband and I got married about a month ago and we used them for our wedding day. Sue was so great to work with and she made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. We had hand passed appetizers and then a full buffet dinner, and it was the best wedding food ever!!! The staff was so helpful and friendly and they did an amazing job as to making our guests happy. Sue did a fantastic job helping us design the menu for our holiday party. We had a budget and she worked with us to make sure we had plenty of food and a great variety. It was a MUST to include the donut machine, and boy am I glad we did! There is nothing better than fresh, hot, delicious donuts drizzled with your favorite sauce! She was very accommodating to our numerous dietary restrictions - vegetarian, gf, and a special dish for one of our guests who needed something pureed. Absolutely outstanding!

The University of Arizona was hosting an event in Maricopa, AZ and Straight to the Plate Catering was recommended. Considering we were working long distance with Sue and her team, it was a little nerve-wracking not knowing what the food and service was going to be....worry soon turned to the "WOW" factor when we arrived and the room was beautifully set, food was beyond delicious and the Straight to the Plate staff were awesome! At the end of our event, Sue offered "to go" coffee cups to guests....Straight to the Plate gets a 10 on the awesomeness scale!!!!!

We had Sue and her crew cater our wedding celebration last weekend and they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this company. Sue was great from the start with helping us stay in our budget but give us food that tasted outside of our budget. She always answered my e-mails quickly and really helped choose the menu.

Brett with Straight to the Plate Catering provided meals for a training workshop at Infusionsoft. I was visiting from out of town and requested gluten-free options the morning of our first session. They were wonderful to help make adjustments and accommodate this preference at the last minute for the balance of the week.
