Oakes Roofing was a pleasure to work with. They quoted us reasonably, were very communicative throughout the process, and we love our new roof. They made everything to code and updated every part of our roof. Everyone worked hard, they were friendly, and even helped my mom carry a few heavy boxes into our home without being asked! I was very grateful to them. There were a few days of a delay for our roof because of the weather, but they were open and honest about the scheduling changes and were only a few days off from their original estimated date. We make a huge mistake with Oakes!
Oakes did a complete tear off and replace in 2017. In 2018 the roof was still leaking. We had to beg in 2019 to get remaining leaks repaired in 2020. (It takes a long time to get help from them).
The roof again kept leaking after the repair.
Once again, Oakes waited until the fall 2020 to come out to inspect the problem and promised to come back in the spring 2021.
Then they never came back.
Now, they do not respond to our calls.

This is the absolute worst roofing company you can possibly hire!!! Beware!! Stay AWAY!!!!
They came out around Easter and replaced the roof on my condo building. The project foreman swore at me and my 9 year old daughter and accused us of stealing their rake. They left trash and roofing nails all around the building. I had to go out and pick everything up so my pets wouldn't step on the nails. Months later and I'm still finding nails around the building.
They didn't secure my cable wires that go to my satellite dish back up to the roof so the cables are just hanging

We had our roof replaced on a 1965 ranch in Southfield, in fall 2019. I wanted to wait until it had been through a winter or two before leaving this review. Its holding up beautifully, and looks great. Wed been having leaks after moving here in 2015.
Their sales team was very helpful and professional. I was able to reach them when I needed to, they explained everything well, and their price estimate was about average, and didnt end up more after the work was done. Their on site workers did everything in one day, and were clean and professional.
