Chapter 7 bankruptcy is often called "fresh start" bankruptcy, because it can wipe out a lot of unsecured debt. Obligations like credit card debt, payday loans, medical bills and other unsecured debts may be eliminated completely. In just a few months, a successful Chapter 7 filer can go from sleepless nights, cutting corners, juggling bills and dodging debt collectors to the peace of mind that comes with a new beginning.
Chapter 13 bankruptcy is less common than Chapter 7, and solves a different set of problems. While Chapter 7 eliminates unsecured debt fairly quickly, Chapter 13 provides a solution for people whose financial issues are more complex. A Chapter 13 case involves a three to five year repayment plan. The main advantage of a Chapter 13 plan is that it stops collection action while you get caught up over time.

I walked into Reinert and Reinert in July staff was very friendly Josh met with me and went over everything that I needed. I had however, walked in with as much as I thought I might need. I brought a current copy of all my bills. Josh and staff helped me get the rest together through calls and mail. August 24 I had my hearing and now just waiting for discharge. Everything handled in one month. That is spectacular. Five stars and more. Could not recommend anyone better.
