At Suburban Athletic & Child, we strive to provide a positive, nurturing environment that encourages personal growth, independence, confidence and self-esteem.

To teach the importance of having self-control and accepting responsibility for one's own actions, to provide an arena in which children can explore everyday experiences in first-hand, sensory ways that increase conceptual understanding; to help a child learn to value his/her own rights and the feelings and values of their peers, and to provide a variety of exercises and activities to promote their social, emotional, cognitive, fine and gross motor development.
Services
Our emergent curriculum allows opportunities for children to explore and learn. We focus on science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) as well as social/emotional development, history, social science, literacy, writing and art. Our extensive, developmentally appropriate and fun learning opportunities help children grow intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally.
Our program offers opportunities for both large and small group activities each afternoon. Children are divided by age for safe and age appropriate play. Some options may include soccer, basketball, flag football, jump rope, 4 square, arts and crafts, obstacle course, board games, swim, dance, computers, martial arts, homework and more.
We LOVE creating fun and exciting programs that keep children wanting to return here, summer after summer!. Summer is an exciting time for children, their parents and our staff. At Suburban we create an environment in which your child will have a joyful and memorable experience with us. We believe in building a child's confidence and self-esteem by creating an environment where positive growth experiences happen.
Suburban offers soccer on three different fields; indoor turf, futsal court and our newly renovated outdoor field with lights. Our fields are rented out on a hourly basis. Rates are reasonable and rentals can be made on a one time basis or in a series. Suburban offers indoor youth leagues for Grade 2 (formerly U-8) - Grade 12 (formerly U18).
Suburban groups children for swim lessons by age and ability to create the best possible teaching and learning environment. Read through the descriptions, or better yet, call and speak with a member of our Aquatics Staff and they will be happy to assist you in placing your child in the appropriate class.

DISCRIMINATION OF CHILDREN AT PEAK. JOHN BARRETT is the coach. My son has been going there for about 8 weeks now and the coach still doesn't call him by name. These are my son's exact words when he came out of the pool the other day **"Dad, even though I do good, he never says anything to me, while he says good job to everyone. The only time he tells me anything is when I accidently crash on to someone. He called everyone by name when we are asked to Dive BUT ME, he points finger. He never says I did well. Am I not doing well? I don't want to go to him next time Dad!!!"*** Shame one you John, you

MOST HORRIBLE AND RUDE PEOPLE you can ever meet in your life. I paid for 6 classes and 3 times, the class was cancelled without any notification. Every time i had to drive 40 minutes to the place to know it was cancelled. People who work there treat you the worst. They do not pick your calls and do not respond. I want the money for 2 classes refunded. If otherwise, i will see what are my options. We chose this place because other schools waiting time was long but this place is just waste of money. Paying for swim classes only made me feel bad and lose money.
EDIT - never received refund

My sons participated in the summer program and loved the experience. My oldest is very interested in being a CIT there and when I called to follow up with the person in charge of that area, Debbie hung up on me twice. No explanation offering to figure out who to talk to. Just hung up. Very rude and unnecessary. If the positions are full at least let me know that.

I knew man who owned this place way back in the 60s Steve. Rather. He sold it to smoc last year. I went there in March. I don't think Anything been done to refurbish or clean or paint since the 60s. Carpet filthy going up to reception and in front of desk ..dirty areas abound. No windows in classroom which was like two miles away..outside all rusted corrugated tin..leaking when raining. Don't see a lot of academics going on ..CLD do more way more w 3yr old class. SMOC won't upgrade it much if at all. U can do a lot better even if their tuition is 0n the lower side. Not worth it for.that. Not at

I live in Boston and went there for the first time 01/16/19 to play a friendly soccer game with friends.
When the game was over. I went and used the bathroom to get dressed. The cleaning staff was so rude, banging on the door for me to get out. Very unpleasant and rude!

My son has had 6 lessons, and we have had to change our schedule 3 times. Two of those times were due to scheduling issues on their end (teacher changed schedule, last minute cancellation of a class before we even started). When I brought my sons to pool for a lesson they conveniently told me the facility is closed. Would it be better if anyone have told me?? Since then postpone lessons twice and no one has shown up. I called the main office twice and after demanding money back, was scheduled make up for missed 2 lessons in one day. At our second visit the instructor wasn’t here and nobody knew

Worst customer Service.....I signed my son up for Swim lessons. He was sick and missed a day so i called the morning of to let them know he would not be in the class that morning and i was told he could have a one make up class for free. When i called to schedule the make up class the assistant director was rude and did not want to honor the free class claiming that was never said to me and if it was the person was wrong.
Be very careful with the swim department. They do not honor their prices, coupons and promises.

I joined in january when i was pregnant because i wanted to use the pool. went once, there were chunks of hair and various other items floating around, and when i got out my legs were itching so bad i scratched them until they started bleeding. i never used the machines, but the place is dark, and appears dirty. im glad im paying $57 a month for my one visit. talk about a charitable donation.
