Our Chiropractic Clinic is called Barrett Spinal Care because by caring for an individual's spine we are in effect caring for the foundation, and often overlooked component, of an individual's health and well-being.
Dr. Ryan Barrett primarily uses Upper Cervical Chiropractic (NUCCA and QSM3) procedures to alleviate the pain and symptoms of many conditions that frequently don't respond to other methods of care. We help conditions such as neck pain, mid and low back pain, migraines and other headaches, numbness in arms and legs, vertigo, sciatica and carpal tunnel.
Barrett Spinal Care opened its doors in 2003 in Tahlequah, OK. By 2006, we had outgrown our initial office space. We were blessed to purchase and remodel our current location which was formerly the much loved Bandy's Restaurant. In the context of thinking about our patients more as family members, rather than "just another patient", we designed our new office to look less like a clinical setting and more like a home.
Soft tissue refers to muscles, ligaments, tendons, and other soft tissues that make up the musculoskeletal system. The musculoskeletal system is often overlooked as the source of a person's pain. However, it has now been proven that many pains that are chronic and previously thought to be associated with structures such as the spine or skeletal system are in fact distortions of soft tissue.
The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation, known as the high velocity low amplitude (HVLA) thrust.

I was skeptical when my husband told me about NUCCA. I watched the visit, where there was no snap, crackle, or popping. I was not convinced that this could be real!
But, I saw instant relief in my husband’s back and neck pain. So, I decided to try it.
Dr. Barrett has changed our lives! He has healed back pain, TMJ, headaches, and pain that no medicine had fixed. We are grateful for the relief that continues to come from Barrett Spinal Care.

Being a customer since July, I really love the way Dr. Barrett helps me feel good again! I have a fused ankle, and letting him do his job has helped me tramondusly! I can finally walk from place to place comfortably. Also, not realizing that I had problems with my back before I met Dr. Barrett, my back feels better than it used too! My family also sees Dr. Barrett, and they have seen great improvements. Dr. Barrett and his staff are kind and compassionate. They always put a smile on our faces!

My son is two hours from home going to school and playing college football in Tahlequah. He hurt is back in off season working out. So I got online and began looking for a chiropractor there. Not knowing anything about any of them there Barrett's had great reviews. I called them and they were so helpful and got him in ASAP. My son said he is very very nice and very good, and he is through and cares. He made sure to explain and so him everything he was talking about and doing. Son said he is a 10/10! The office staff was very nice also and helped so much!

I have struggled with debilitating pain in my shoulder, neck and arm for years. After exhausting all specialist, physical therapy and even surgery options, I went to Dr. Barrett - I am pain free!! He is very compassionate and his staff is as well. I have recommended them to all my friends and family.
