Bismarck Funeral Home & Crematory
For those not. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery. Burial will be. Preplanning gives your family a detailed road map of what type of service you want. Preplanning is truly one of the most thoughtful and loving things you can do for your family. A funeral service is a time to reflect on the past while looking toward the future, and to celebrate our loved ones' lives and reflect upon their accomplishments.

Today, many people are considering cremation as an alternative to the traditional burial service. The planning of a cremation comes down to a matter of personal choice. We are here to help you through a very difficult point in your life. To listen, to console, to plan and to handle. We are able to offer you guidance and to help you to coordinate a personal tribute that honors the life of your loved one.
Services
When Mike Nathe opened Bismarck Funeral Home and Crematory in March of 1996, it was in direct response to the glut of corporate-owned funeral homes in Bismarck. Since that time, Bismarck Funeral Home and Crematory has the distinction of being the longest continuously locally-owned funeral home in Bismarck today.
When a death occurs, there are many decisions that must be made at that time. It's hard enough simply dealing with the loss without having to also try to make the right decisions. By preplanning these decisions now, one can lift the emotional and financial decisions from your family. It won't be time consuming or difficult for you.
Families often mark relevant changes in their lives with elaborate ceremonies, such as graduation, weddings, baptisms, etc. A funeral service is a time to reflect on the past while looking toward the future, and to celebrate our loved ones' lives and reflect upon their accomplishments. A service at a church or in the chapel of Bismarck Funeral Home would be followed by burial in a cemetery.
Today, many people are considering cremation as an alternative to the traditional burial service. The planning of a cremation comes down to a matter of personal choice. One can choose from having a casket service with a public viewing followed by a cremation, a cremation followed by a memorial service held at your church or at the funeral home or direct cremation with no service.
It is the customary way to recognize death and its finality. Funerals are a vital part in the grieving process, as well as a chance to celebrate the life that was lived. They offer the surviving family and friends a caring, supportive environment in which to share their thoughts and feelings about the passing.

Im a disabled vet, i have lost my mother, my father and my aunt all in one year. Now, My baby has brother passed away in Bismark from covid. We came in and Shawn helped us during this very hard time. Though there were some painful miscommunications, Shawn reached out and made things right. Thank you.

Using a pseudonym. I contacted them with a question about a forthcoming service and never received a reply.

I could not be more impressed with the service and compassion we received from Mike and his team when they helped us with details of my dear brother Bob’s funeral. As the years have passed after his death I still remember how Bismarck Funeral Home guided us through most difficult time. Our family will be forever grateful.

I would highly recommend this funeral home. They did such a nice job with our mom and we had her viewing, funeral service ,cremation and luncheon all right there. Mike and the entire staff were wonderful. We prepaid for her services and it saved us so much time and stress. It was so stress free couldn’t appreciate this more. Thank you for making it a Beautiful celebration of our mothers life. Beth Nordquist Family

When my father died he was brought here and I can honestly say it was the worst experience of my life. Not just due to the event that brought us there but the way that the staff were was horrific. Now I will say this was in 2005 so I can only hope and pray those people are no longer with this company but from commercials I've seen I'm fairly certain they still are. I am very adamant with those around me that we will never use this establishment again after the way we were treated.
