I'm Dr. Shiroko Sokitch, MD, Board Certified Acupuncturist, Functional Medicine Doctor, best-selling author, and life-long seeker of miracles, solutions, and healing. I'm excited to meet you! Longtime women's health expert, Dr. Shiroko Sokitch, MD made two guest appearances in October and March of 2012 on Novato's local television show, The Sounding Board. Produced and directed by Soroptimist International of Novato, The Sounding Board airs on channel 26 and touches on the fabric of women's health, life, and culture in the local Marin community.

After decades of practice - blending Chinese and Western medicine - I still love the magic that happens when the body begins to experience balance from within. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient and effective healing approach based on the movement of energy in the body. TCM asserts that our bodies are made up of life-force energy, called Qi (pronounced chee).

I love Shiroko and Reynette and the whole staff. They make you feel comfortable and welcome from the start. And with acupuncture and sometimes herbs, Shiroko has cured just about every weird thing I've come in with. And, having her MD in western medicine, she's not afraid to use western medicine when that's the right path.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Shiroko is a unicorn. I went to many doctors without answers or relief before I found her. Once I did, she was quickly able to diagnose me and begin treatment. She takes a holistic approach and is able to offer multiple ideas for how to approach a problem. Everything is tailored to the individual, and she takes the time to listen. Not only is she extremely skilled, she is a delight to be around. With her busy schedule, she somehow manages to respond to every text/email/phone call quickly. Generally speaking, the problem with old male Western Medicine cardiologists is they won't acknowledge the emotional aspect of a heart problem. They think they can electrically force your heart to behave with Shock treatment! I found that concept to be abrupt, assumptive, uncaring, uncompassionate, and frankly Barbaric.. Dr Shiroko has a caring and sensitive approach, first she listens and then by tapping into my emotions and heart with her loving method of using acupuncture, she was able to calm down my fluttering heart beat. And she recommended I take magnesium. I feel so much better knowing
