He came to accept a job offer as an associate veterinarian at what was then Hays Animal Hospital, working with Dr. Robert Hays, who had built the practice and buildings in the early '50s. Within a year, however, Dr. Hays encountered health issues that caused him to sell the practice. While owning a business just a year out of school had not been Dr. Epp's plan, it was an opportunity he chose to accept and assumed ownership on Sept. 1, 1975.

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university. We are a three-doctor practice that has enjoyed serving our local community for many years (check out our reviews!). Our practice is a full-service mixed-animal hospital and will see routine appointments, do farm calls, and take emergency cases.

I am so grateful for the friendly service at Independence Animal Hospital. We recently had to say goodbye to our dog and everyone was so accommodating and understanding. I couldn't imagine having a better experience in such a hard situation. Thank you so much to everyone at the Independence Animal Hospital. We are truly blessed to have them in our community.

We trust Independence Animal Hospital to care for not only our house pets but our livestock as well. They have always delivered top notch care.
