Founded in 1996, Painting Plus was started by Greg Atkinson, a lifelong resident of Saddle Brook, New Jersey. Greg was a self-employed contractor with nearly 40 years of experience in a multitude of residential and commercial improvement projects. He found himself working again and again with the same strong group of professionals that had his same attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Finally, he decided it was time to team up, bring the group together as one, and form GJA Painting Plus, and why not? Happy customers kept asking them back! From small changes to the layout all the way to extreme makeovers, we can make your space perfect. We have experience working with all interior structures and can deliver any aesthetic changes you can imagine.
Working with the materials of your choosing we can upgrade your existing bathroom features, or, completely demolish it and install new. When your project calls for small carpentry work, such as molding or aprons, no need to call in a carpenter, we will make something to fit. When you're ready to clean up the siding, fence, or deck, we have a crew that is dedicated to power washing before we put on the finishing touches.

Greg and the GJA team repaired and sealed two mahogany porches for us recently. They also added some finish trim to our pool cabana and then painted it to match the cabana (exactly!).
I can't say enough about the meticulousness of everyone on the team. Their work is excellent, they are true professionals, and they care for your home as if it was their own.
We plan to have them back this Fall to paint the inside of our home.

I recently moved into a new house in Northern NJ, and we used Greg Atkinson and his team to paint our very much dated home. The previous owners had sponge painted over wallpaper throughout our living room, and painted over wallpaper glue in all of the bedrooms. All of our walls were in poor shape, but Greg and his team restored them beautifully. We also had a very large plaster wall (from the 70s?), which Greg removed and re-sheetrocked. It looks great!
