Lydia has over 17 years of experience as a professional nanny, household manager, teacher, coach, and camp counselor in the Chicagoland area. Lydia obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago and spent several years working in finance immediately after graduating.
Chicago Collegiate Nannies (CCN) was launched in May of 2015 by Lydia Brown. After putting herself through college working as a nanny, camp counselor, and babysitter, Lydia graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Marketing. Post-graduation, Lydia spent several years working in finance before ultimately deciding that her true passion lay in entrepreneurship and working with children.

10 months ago, CCN found us the most amazing part-time nanny I could’ve imagined. They say MARY Poppins doesn’t exist, but she does :) Our nanny is responsible, punctual, experienced, and has a great group of friends that have now become our favorite sitters. She’s eternally happy, singing and playful and our 16month daughter loves her even more than we do.

I have really enjoyed working with Collegiate Nannies. I have found two families through them. I really appreciate how they take the time to know the nanny and the family so the number of interviews are limited to those which are likely to be the right match. I was really really impressed when 6 months into a position, I was dealing with an extremely difficult situation and wasn't sure how to handle it. I called Lydia and while we were on the phone, I needed to go. Even though I had already been in the position for quite some time, she did call me back and while I had already worked my situation
