Fairchance Construction Co. is one of the oldest contracting companies in Pennsylvania. Originally founded in 1880 as the McCormick Lumber Company that operated as a lumber and builders supply until 1916 when it was incorporated as Fairchance Lumber Company. Fairchance Construction Co. (as it was renamed in 1994 to better reflect the nature of the business) is a local, family-owned business operated by four generations of the Balling family.
