For over 50 years, St. Luke's Preschool, Kindergarten, Parent's Day Out, and After-School Care in Lubbock, TX have been providing a high-quality learning environment for our community's children. Through play, hands-on activities, and successful positive experiences, St. Luke's schools strive to help children grow spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, socially, and creatively.
Services
St. Luke's Preschool and Kindergarten is a Christian outreach of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. We are a licensed school created over fifty years ago located at 3708 45th Street. The Core Knowledge program focuses on identifying specific goals in all areas of learning, setting high expectations for all children, and teaching the specific content knowledge and skills that will allow children to be successful at school.
St. Luke's Parent's Day Out is a place where each child can learn and play in a Christian atmosphere. Children are taught through a wide variety of crafts, stories and music, and each child and parent are very important to us. We want every child to be excited to come to our program and every parent to know your child will be loved and taken care of.
We are a state-licensed program providing care for school-age children from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Southwest Campus. We have certified staff that work hard to provide a loving, Christian atmosphere with very low teacher/child ratios. We have a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for the children, as well as homework time every day.
All students attend our little bird's music class daily. They will learn the foundations of singing in a fun exciting format. Our songs develop pitch, dynamics and tempo. They have the opportunity to explore rhythm instruments and their bodies as they move to music. Our Core knowledge guidelines for music incorporate movement, as well as classical music selections.
Extended hours available through PDO for an additional fee on Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 - 2:45. Refunds are not given for part of a month missed. Tuition is due on the first of each month and is due as long as a place is reserved for your child. The preschool office must be notified at least two weeks in advance if the child is withdrawing from the program for any reason.
