Eric B. Nielson joined Roy, Nielson, Platts, McGee & Schoettger in 2014. Nielson earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho College of Law and also earned a Master's Degree in Accountancy from the University of Idaho's College of Business and Economics. During law school, Nielson led the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program which helps low-income individuals file their tax returns.
Lisa comes to Roy, Nielson, Platts, McGee & Schoettger from the well-known litigation firm, the Roark Law Firm, where she was a partner for almost four years. Lisa practices in the areas of family law, criminal law, and general civil litigation. In the area of family law, Lisa aggressively pursues her clients' interests both in and out of the courtroom.

She was able to take a fairly complex custody situation and break it down into simple terms I could understand. She did not let the other attorney push us around and every step of the way she was efficient at dealing with the insanity. The other lawyer was trying to get away with things during the whole case and she shut that down every time. It went very well and I will use her for any case involving my children or family law type matters. Through this case she has earned a client for life. I could not appreciate her more. Lisa is a great listener. She took a great amount of time on my case. She made sure she had all the facts in order before we went to court. My case was over a year long and even over a year into it she was as passionate about it as she was when I first hired her. My case was a mess with a lot of people involved. This never seemed to bother her. She is always on top of everything. She is easy to talk to. She is very professional. Her assistant is always there to help if Lisa is unavailable. Seth Platts handled my divorce and amended my custody with my ex-wife and both ended in my favor. From the first meeting I believed Seth understood what I needed his representation for. I would recommend Seth to help anyone with a divorce or child custody case. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because communication outside of the office can be brief. However, I think this is the nature of the industry. You have to remember that a good attorney probably has multiple clients they are working for at a given time. So you are not the only client they are focusing on.

Recently got into a very bad car accident where the other person was at fault, i was looking for an attorney to help me out with my case. i did my research and saw that they had very good feedback so i decided to give them a call and ask for help. I was left on hold and later the receptionist comes back and tells me “sorry we can’t help you” i then ask why she then hangs up the phone.

If you are looking for an attorney in family law and who definitely does not waste your time or money this is by far the best. I would recommend this team highly, they are very knowledgeable and cross all there T's and dot all their I's I had nothing but a positive experience working with them and if I ever need them again I am definitely going back. They do not sugar coat and definitely have your needs in mind. Very friendly and family atmosphere.
