Applying for a mortgage can seem like a daunting and scary process. To help, we've created a checklist of things for you to compile, complete and acknowledge before applying. Credit history is a recorded file of past and current credit that is utilized to compile a credit score. A closing cost is a payment required to finalize a home loan and is separate from a down-payment.
The most common type of loan option, the traditional fixed-rate mortgage includes monthly principal and interest payments which never change during the loan's lifetime. Adjustable-rate mortgages include interest payments which shift during the loan's term, depending on current market conditions. Typically, these loans carry a fixed interest rate for a set period of time before adjusting.

Joe was great to work with as I navigated the complexities of my home purchase. His guidance, patience, and overall friendly service helped put me at ease. Joe was not only able to secure me a good rate, but was also diligent enough to read through my contract again, spotting where a credit had not yet been applied in the transaction. This saved me a lot money and would not have been caught otherwise. Both Joe and Kathy went above and beyond to help finish the deal, so I certainly recommend them.

Joe and his team are the ONLY mortgage company we would ever go with for purchasing a home! We have used North Point Mortgage Advisors for two home purchases over the years and they are the absolute best. The process is just seamless with NPMA. They are extremely organized and on top of it. We, as clients, are constantly kept up-to-date and in the loop with where things are (during what can be a very challenging and confusing process!). Joe and Kathy have been absolutely amazing! As a first time home buyer, I was very nervous going through the process. Both Joe and Kathy have been extremely patient answering every question I had. They took the time to educate me and explained every step in advance so that I know exactly what to expect, and have been super responsive throughout the entire process! The turnaround time was very fast and Kathy kept me informed at every stage of the mortgage application. It made the process much easier and less stressful.
