At Your Side Home Care is a licensed home care agency with the state of Texas. Our owners Donna Wrabel, LMSW, and Rick Wrabel have personal involvement in every case our home care agency takes on.
You will deal with one, or both, of them throughout the process from your initial contact to the implementation of services and beyond. We have terrific caregivers who are hand picked by the owners. Services
For most of us, the word "home" evokes warm feelings of comfort, security and well-being. For older adults, home also means holding tight to cherished memories and maintaining self-esteem and independence. When illness, injury or age make life a little more challenging, remaining at home in a comfortable, familiar environment encourages recovery and enhances the quality of life.
Qualified At Your Side caregivers provide respectful assistance with bathing, dressing, hair styling, toileting, and other general hygiene needs. Individual preferences, dietary restrictions and the importance of nutrition are always considered. Trained caregivers work with client-specific medication profiles and ensure that all medication is taken promptly and in accordance with the physician's orders.
It is important to take breaks from caregiving on a regular basis so you can rest, relieve stress and take care of your own needs. Allow At Your Side to help you find the balance between being a caregiver and taking time for yourself. Our experienced, compassionate caregivers can provide a wide range of in-home services for your loved one, allowing you time to spend with friends and family, run errands or enjoy a favorite hobby.

Rudy Wrabel and his staff at At Your Side Home Care were a Godsend to mother who was struggling with vascular dementia. He also has access to an incredible medical team (At Home Practitioners) who cared for her every medical need, at home. We moved back to Houston while my wife was seriously ill with cancer of the pancreas. I realized that she would need 24 hour care when we arrived, so I began searching the internet for home care. I found At Your Side and thought it sounded good, so I called them and arranged for her to have care from the time we arrived.
At Your Side did a great job. Kathy and I got along well with almost all the caregivers throughout her illness. They were prompt and cheerful.
I strongly recommend you try this firm. If your experience turns out anything like ours did, you'll be very happy.

I want to personally thank At Your Side home care for the services they provided my mother during the advanced stages of her illness. OG and Shantel were some of the best caregivers I’ve seen and I have a new respect for caregivers who come in at such intimate, critical times and provide outstanding care and service for their patients. We used At Your Side for several years. Rudy is personable and communicative. The office/scheduling staff was patient as we worked to find the “just right” fit of a caregiver. It takes time and they were so responsive and patient. Ebele is a true gem and a natural caregiver with high integrity. We feel so grateful for the way At Your Side helped us walk through a challenging time. Highly recommend.

Just before COVID, my 97-year old Mother-in-law moved in to live with us. We had been looking for a home care company for a year when we learned about "At Your Side." My son's Piano teacher, who had been in the hospital for a hip replacement, recommended it to us. She had great things to say about this company. I do not recommend their services. You may or may not get a good care giver that understands and speaks English. We got lucky that the first care giver assigned was wonderful but, when they sent a replacement for a day that care giver couldn't come, the replacement was terrible. If there was a time when the assigned care giver couldn't come, I told them not to send a replacement anymore. Another big issue for me was their inaccurate invoices. They consistently overbilled for time not worked. I learned that they don't bill based on the care giver's time sheet. They bill whatever they want and it

Rudy and the At Your Side staff provide a wonderful service, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Christina reliably arrived to help my mother-in-law three days a week and has been a blessing over the last several months. Mary, my mother-in-law, adores Christina and looked forward to every visit. Elizabeth was cheerful and kind and exactly what we needed the night Mary got out of the hospital and couldn’t stay alone. When my father ended up in an Assisted Care facility, I was living across the country. While the facility and staff were fantastic, they weren't able to spend long periods of time with my father. When someone recommended At Your Side Home Care, I had my answer. They were able to provide caring staff to sit with my father and comfort him. It was such a relief to me to know that he wasn't alone, and there were people to provide him such an important thing as caring attention. The owners are upstanding people and sent me nice ladies to help me take care of myself and my newborn baby after a c-section.

My father received home health type services from them at The Gardens at Spring Shadows for more than a year. I really appreciated, Rick, the owner, and his engagement with clients and obvious "hands-on" approach with the company as well as his overall sincerity. He seems to really care how well his clients are being treated. The prices were fair and other than some occasional problems with the billing and invoices being incorrect (which we were able to get corrected, but which is why this review is a 4 and not a 5), they are a great company.
