New Directions Counseling was founded in 2005. Lisa Johnson has served as Owner, Clinical Director and Therapist, since 2014. Lisa feels called to provide individuals with quality mental health and substance use disorder counseling services in a welcoming, comfortable environment, that is close to home.
It is important to her that each individual is treated in the highest regard, while receiving accessible and timely services. New Directions aims to offer comprehensive counseling services in an effort to best meet the needs of the local community, while ensuring nonjudgmental interactions.

Had 3 sessions; one counselor made several split-second diagnoses on myself and my husband during sessions, often quite incorrectly, and some were personally insulting. Sided with my husband and often made assumptions about things she couldn't possibly know. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Giving it 3 stars because the other counselor, who we saw for a different issue, was amazing and very helpful. Proceed with caution.
